you can reuse the ballast of this lamp and connect it to a tubular fluorescent lamp

The electrodes in a compact fluorescent are basically just tungsten filaments. So it's just like burning out an incandescent.
Those have mercury vapor in them....be safe!
The bulb was broken, so it had already escaped.

I have an LED bulb that somehow consumed enough time to go EOL, one of its filaments is melting, it flashes and dims, and jts just getting worse

@@TimelapseSleeping the led bulbs I buy even the expensive ones only lasted my a month with compact fluorescent lights they last longer
Lucky. Globe bulbs are known to cause fires when they die.
