if James isn't the inverted wb, he'll have to form the 3 man cb, which is even more limited for him. as the inverted wb, he can make those Kdb-esque underlap/overlap runs to make those crosses on the byline

A big risk, if our struggles against low blocks reappear or the distance from midfield to the front line happens too often. We will be in trouble and we will again struggle to challenge. I hope he has some alternative plans. And mixes up our approach play with fast transitions and direct balls. To prevent teams recovering their defensive shape. Tbh, that’s not an actual problem, it can be solved with better players. It’s a tactical thing to do long ball when the opponent press hard that it creates spaces in between the midfield and the back. Inzaghi’s Inter milan does that, they skip the build up phase and pass the ball to the wingers or striker. +Maresca only do that when the opposition press high, but when the opposition are a lot more “respectful” aka sit back. Maresca will build from the back. I think it might be an evidence of tactical flexibility tbh, but Leicester players don’t have the quality to do so

And it’s not an actually easy counter attack situation for the opponent, because you have enough players to defend your post.

At least 4-5 times in that game we went the length of the pitch and landed in good position in just a few passes. The quality of counter attacks in the PL will be a big issue. Better and more athletic defenders will help but only so much. Both keepers currently not very good as sweepers either
