I agree with you 100%, an incredible talent. People who don't know about how her music is created and performed should stop all this "is this live,lip-synched",etc nonsense, and watch her interviews where she explains it and the reasoning behind it. It is her voice in all the vocals you hear, regardless of weather she is singing it 'live', or there is a playback, or a combination of both. Love you Enya.

I Love Enya! She is so talented.

Enya writes all her music and lyrics. In addition she sings all the back-up vocals. Oh I forgot to mention she plays every instrument on all her productions and then mixes and edits. She is a one woman orchestra and choir!

I feel like I am at sea again,like when I was in the Navy....as the music,the angelic tones of the heavenly songstress cascades over every fiber of my being,taking me away to a place once again in my memory,I hear the roar of the ocean as it crashes into itself,the waves rocking my boat in time to the music,as I bathe my soul in the wind off the whitecaps,feeling the sea spray on my face,tasting the saltiness in the residue upon my lips....I feel the cool of the ocean,hear the waves pounding unto each other as I sail along the briny deep.....

I love this song from the 88 o 89.

This was the first song that introduced me to Enya back in 1988 (I was 5) and it is still my favorite Enya song to this very day!!!

+Clayton Copeland --- Same with me.. I heard used in a late 80s eraly 90s TV commercial for an ocean cruises line and I wondered who was singing that song.. the song stuck with me... We have all of her CD's..

Beautiful song, I love Enya

The lady has class, intellect, & genious far beyond any contemporaries. she plays and sings everything you hear herself, not to mention she basically created a new genre/sound/style. yes she is a favorite of all the Pottery Barn milfs, i said it, but her music is so much deeper and richer than a lot of people realize.

+rob kabatoff well galic queen of the winds, but priestess, come on shes roman catholic by birth, not no pagan. and proper galic irish at that, Eithne Pádraigín Ní Bhraonáin is how her name is actually spelled, but the anglo form is enya brennen, she did not learn english right away from birth, but yea this seems like some kind of chant or teleportation move for traveling.

When this song came out, it was so unlike anything else playing on the radio at the time. You couldn't pigeon-hole it at all; it wasn't pop and it certainly wasn't rock. And the singer certainly didn't sound like any of the other performers of the time. I think the uniqueness of the presentation helped push it up the charts, but it was also so well-composed and beautifully performed it couldn't help but become a huge hit. It came across as something ritualistic, type of thing you'd hear at a ceremony or something similar. Enya found a template and she's stuck with it for all these years. She's never tried to be anything she 's not and it has worked brilliantly. You'd be hard-pressed to find anyone as talented as she.

2005 was better no question about it way to go celtic woman really enjoyed and appreciate your singing you should be proud one of my favorite songs to listen to take care best wishes to everyone for except enya. Joe

The acoustics in this venue must have been so awesome heard within it live in person. Reminds me when I lower my head into the utility wash tub and sing straight down into it. Such a rush. Forgot the shower, try the utility tub. Artists always find a way to create and search for a unique sound, different in ways unheard of. Maybe I just invented it and this will inspire someone to record vocal tracks in this way. Have fun,

Come on, its just a music video. Lots of artists use their studio versions in their music videos. This is obviously not a live performance since the violinists backs would be towards the audience if so. I didn't see any audience anyway. Enya made the music herself, she can do whatever she wants with it :)
