Enya clearly knows how to separate her professional life from her personal life. That's what I really respect about her.

She's such a modest, elegant woman with a beautiful voice.

I seriously could not imagine Enya living in anything BUT a castle, that seems to suit her so well.

I still remember when Orinoco Flow came over the airwaves back in the late 80's. It was a different sound and everyone liked it. I loved it!

Well, let me try that again. We all have our opinions about what Enya should do, but in the end, Enya makes the decisions as to what she wants to do with her life and her career, and that shows how principled, not to mention how determined she is to have a life! Many recording artists really don't have a life today, because they fall under the pressure to be what others want them to do or how they should be viewed or how they should act. Way to go, Enya!

That was pretty nice seeing very beginning stages of Wild Child with Enya playing the keyboards and Nicky mixing the sounds. I would love to go see their studio and watch how they do everything.

Like Madonna and Cher, Enya doesn't need a last name but unlike Madonna and Cher, Enya doesn't need to resort to showing her flesh because she ACTUALLY has talent.

There is no words to describe how extraordinary person you are Enya ! I think you dont realise what a great thing you do with your music, your voice and your way to be, for this world. All Enya is almost unreal, really. And I mean it.

"You're only human after all." says the interviewer. As if being human and not a mortal god is based solely on one's birth as a mammal. Enya and other real artists like her are something indefinitely better than a human being, having some sort of divine link that makes them able to find melodies which are already there but yet unknown to the minds of common people.

ENYA is actually the name of The band based on the pronunciation of Her name in Irish "Eithne" said "Enya" The "nya" containing letters from the name Ryan. Roma and Nicky are members of the band. It's like Sade being a band.

I find Enya fascinating-I bought my first Enya record in the 80's, her music was never aimed at outdoing the latest thing. I think the reason she seems PO'd at the interviewer is because she may be uncomfortable-she is very reclusive by nature. But I think CBS sent a total nit-wit musically to interview her, the music that is played here isn't even in the league of her best music. I found "shepherd moons" and "memory of trees" far superior to "only time"/"wild child"

I love the fact that she adores a conservative life e not like the pathetic and sad artistes who fight for attention .

lol. agree with you, but Orinoco Flow was not her first piece of music. You should check out her first main album, called "The Celts" for her earliest solo sound, or the group Clannad, her family band from before that even. :D

Agreed, but with all that said, Enya should do a concert tour for the people, her fans 1st, to experience the music live, and not continue this isolation and fear of no privacy. 2nd, the media sure loves persuading people of being "in uncertain times". Never watch local/cable news for knowledge, research and find the answers for yourself.

@em x photon-a concert would be great, but it wouldn't be very satisfying. Considering the lions' share of music is done electronically with only a couple coordinators.

OK the interviewer might have been a little rude but what we got out of it is a much deeper and more interesting interview than usual. PS: Who thinks she looks prettier at 05:34 and 05:55 than in the actual video?

Enya's interviewers always seem rather boorish compared with her. Maybe they can't help it. I hadn't seen this interview before. I'm surprised she let them film in her yard like that.

I would guess the interviewer wishes he could do this again; this time he has his head out of his ass! He is not used to a person like herself, called CLASS.
