Entry Requirements Thailand - Cash, Accommodation, Return Ticket, No Covid Restrictions

Bangkok Hotels: bit.ly/bangkkhotel
All international tourists entering Thailand, regardless of their country of origin, must carry a minimum of THB15,000. This requirement is not new, as Thailand has enforced a minimum cash limit on foreign visitors for the past decade.
Recently, several Indonesians have reported being denied entry to Thailand during random checks conducted by Thai international airports, as they were unable to demonstrate sufficient funds for their stay.
Thai authorities reserve the right to deny entry to tourists who cannot prove they have enough money and accommodations. These checks are conducted randomly and not on every incoming tourist.
Visitors to Thailand must:
1. Hold a valid passport with an expiration date of at least six months.
2. Possess a return trip ticket.
3. Present documentation of their accommodation arrangements in Thailand.
4. Provide proof of financial capability to cover their expenses while in the country, such as having enough cash.
Thailand's Minister of Public Health has stated that international travellers arriving in Thailand are not required to show proof of Covid-19 vaccination or test results, as Thailand no longer has COVID entry requirements.
Thailand welcomed a record-breaking 28 million tourists in 2023, with over 4.6 million Malaysian tourists accounting for the majority of visitors.
China and Thailand have formally agreed to implement a visa-free entry policy for their citizens, allowing stays of up to 30 days. Starting March 1, 2024, individuals holding ordinary passports and traveling for tourism, family visits, or business purposes will benefit from this new agreement. The agreement replaces Thailand’s temporary visa waiver for Chinese travelers, which was originally in effect until February 29.
These developments follow the Thai government's efforts to revive its tourism industry by focusing on attracting tourists from China, its primary tourism source before the pandemic. Their goal is to attract 8 million Chinese visitors this year, surpassing the 3.5 million recorded last year, although still below the pre-pandemic figure of 11 million.

Hi, thanks for the info. Yeah that particular case was a fake news. According to publicly available data gathered by the Indonesian Embassy in Bangkok from incidents of visitors being refused entrance: International visitors to Thailand are subject to sporadic spot inspections by Thai immigration to determine whether or not they have the resources to maintain their stay. For single travelers, the fund is THB15,000, and for groups or families arriving together, it is THB20,000 thesun.my/style-life/going-viral/travellers-to-thailand-may-be-refused-entry-if-they-don-t-bring-rm19k-in-cash-FB12135330
