It's crazy how this movie's CGI is better than most stuff that comes out today. The effects still really hold up.

Because back then when studio locked script and movie they won't reshoot. But today studios forcing director to reshoots causing every CGI need to redo from scratch. What the most sad thing is VFX artist can't sleep while redo it, the result is they're cheap looking because VFX artis lacking a sleep. Another thing i found is only 2 VFX company has great VFX for movies. ILM and weta. The rest is quite weak. This movie were done by ILM. They also do jurassic park/world, star wars, pirate of the carribean and Indiana Jones. Weta did for harry potter, blade runner 2048, dune, planet of the apes. Since 2016, every movie hired 3 VFX studios to do CGI and thats why blockbuster movie has great CGI and ugly CGI

So many years since he first voiced the character, but Peter Cullen is always welcome in the role 😊

This September will 40 years since the first time I heard P.C. as O.P.

Between the animation, sound effects and the music, the scene where Optimus Prime, Ratchet, Jazz and Ironhide meet up with Bumblebee, Sam and Mikaela in that alleyway will never fail to give me the good kind of chills when I see it. and I may catch crap for this, but this movie was the first time I ever heard Peter Cullen speak as Optimus Prime.

don't worry. this film was my first introduction to Peter in newer productions (i only just watched the 86 movie as a kid). also the first time i ever saw bumblebee in the same circumstances

Why Would You Catch Crap For How Your Media Watching Order Played Out I Was Seven I Think When This Movie Came Out So I Think This Was The First Time I Ever Watched Anything With Peter Cullen In It It Might Not Be Or It Might Be But Either No One Should Get Mad At Anybody Because Everybody Surprise Surprise Didn't Watch Movies In The Exact Same Order Everyone Else Did Idk Seems A Bit Poposterous Or Excessive.

Toxicity In Fandoms Is Everywhere I Remember A Year Or Two Ago Maybe Three I Called Otto Octavius The Superior Spiderman Because That's Literally Who He Is There Was Like An Entire Comic Storyline Based Off Of Him And Sum But Hurt Ass Tom Holland Fanboy Got All Mad Because I Didn't Praise Their Stupid Little god.

We saw this on opening night. Everyone in the theater went nuts and were high fiving when the Semi Truck rolled past lol

This movie came out in 2007 and the Special Effects are still Phenomenal!

I did I hear someone call that little girl an idiot? LMAOOOOO

I was a huge fan of the 80s TV show as a kid. Not ashamed to say I got a little choked up in the theater during this scene.

The Optimus Prime truck is one of the best movie trucks ever

Someone actually asked are the Autobots good or bad. Good question. Both sides are invaders and both sides view what they are doing as good. Megatron is willing to sacrifice the humans to bring back the transformer race. Optimus doesn’t want to sacrifice anyone but still would like his race to thrive on Cybertrom. They are two sides of the same coin

And then there was the Transformers PRIME CGI animated series, with the same people making the OSTs for it, sounding exactly like this (2007) movie. Coupled with the voice-acting and, in my opinion, good enough CGI, it was a great series, despite the teenage human elements and the mandatory child prodigy (Ralph) who could magically understand Bumblebee, like he was some R2D2 whisperer. Aside from that annoyance (clearly geared to also appeal to a younger audience) it was still a solid series. But, the animated series that came after...Ugh. And that new thing that's coming out with Optimus still being Orion Pax and Megatron in their early days, it's already bad. It's like a mockery, with all the attempted comedy they try to saturate it with, it's like they have to make a comedy out of everything, these days. Visually it looks amazing, but everything else...eww.
