IT was great that Ari was a bombarding him with all those questions, it was a test to open Turtle's eyes and realize it's far more challenging that he thought. But then when Ari becomes sincere sitting down with Turtle, in a fatherly nature, that was also very helpful.

Ari would never step away from a meeting and take 5 minutes to educate someone about how to build a business unless he genuinely cares for that person. He knows turtle is a solid guy and of course there’s also that he’s one of his biggest clients best friend but he actually likes turtle, Ari knows turtle would lay on train tracks for Vince and Ari respects that, that’s why he speaks to turtle like a real person trying to seek advice and even offers to help him if turtle can prove he can do it.

Entourage gets looked down as low brow entertainment when it actually had well written scenes with real heart. Watching how crafted and put together this scene really shows more depth in the characters and their growth. Ari spoke real truth that Turtle needed to hear. People that doesn't have money and want to start something with only a simple idea should really watch this, re-watch it & watch it again. Learn from it. Ari is a classic character! This is one of his best scenes. The audience is allowed inside his mind and heart to see how he thinks and feels. Truly! The bravado is hilarious but the moments where he drops his guard are the most touching. He deeply cares about those in his life and is relentless to show that affection. Golden age of television for HBO: Tony Soprano ran Jersey, Ari Gold ran Hollywood.

Due to all the unveiling of the D-baggery that is Hollywood in the 10 years or so. This show has really aged poorly. People on both sides of the political isle have cause to despise the characters in this show. That said, I like many others loved this show during its original run. However, this entire Turtle arch was out of touch and poorly written. I do believe they where trying to make Turtle the every man of the group, but instead he came across as petty and entitled. All the things Ari mentioned here are true. Turtle had no plan, no concept of a day to day grind work ethic, only a sense of inadequacy among his peers for inspiration. However, unlike young and new entrepreneurs Turtle had no life stress. Turtle was living in a mansion rent free, he did not have to pay for auto insurance, internet bills, groceries or any other life expenses. Above else he had a massive safety net in the case of failure, something 95% of entrepreneurs do not have. I hated this arch and while Turtle was never my favorite character. I never disliked him either, during this arch I despised his character.

Turtle had the best arc of the show. Started off as a loyal loser with no respect for himself or others. He started working, tried different things, guy a degree, struggled, fell on his ass, and came out a millionaire. In season one, Turtle hit on the airline stewardess' with crude jokes. In his last scene in the show, he shakes hands with the airline stewardess, greeting as mature equals, before boarding. He grew up, but his loyalty never wavered

“Come back to me when you can prove it”…. The gift wasn’t just the 5 minutes of his time, but the promise that he’d listen when he decided it was time to come back. Ari, proved that those 5 minutes were priceless….

Ari Gold has to be one of the funniest characters ever written in TV and Movie history. I've never laughed so much while watching something in my life. Jeremy Piven was perfect. Literally fit like Steve Carell as Michael Scott. Or Rainn Wilson as Dwight. Bryan Cranston as Walter White. I could go on and on but those are examples that first come to mind when I think of characters that no other actors could have played.
