True story. Yesterday I asked a driver to give me her driver's license. She boldly gave me her Louisiana state ID. I told her that I asked for her driver's license. She said, "Oh, I leave that at home when I drive and I carry this with me." I had to laugh and I responded, "So, you're telking me you have a valid driver's license but you leave it at home and carry your state ID instead?" Then I stopped laughing and said, "Ma'am, you're lying to me!". Then I got to handling my business. This scenario happens VERY often.

i find it hilarious, it's like they think the cop will magically go away or something, them trying to buy an extra minute just makes the cops angrier and more on edge because they're being ignored, not a very good idea, just imagine if she was straight up with the cop, worst absolute case they would've towed the car, maybe, ive had a situation where i was driving while suspended and bad tags, the cop just made my friend that i was picking up walk 5 minutes to my car and he had to drive, i was surprised he didn't tow my car away, i was kind of being rude to the cop too but things tend to go in your favor when you don't blatantly ignore them haha

It’s literally the same script every time with certain people. First they do the ignore thing. Sit on their phone and act like the officer is overhearing a private conversation “mom they pulled me over I literally didn’t do anything “ , next up, the infamous “it’s my moms friends car”, leading into the classic “of course I have my license duh bro are you stupid” , proceeds to either finally admit they do not have a license, or hand over some bunk ass Mickey Mouse club card. Officer usually gets fed up around this part and sighs “so you didn’t have a license this whole time and you knew it ?” Usually the next sequence is “can you step out of the vehicle for me for a sec, to resistance, and confusion. This is the hallmark sign that someone is about to fly off the rails. They are panicking. Delaying. Their entire cool act is being dismantled. They usually begin resisting. Then once they are out they start screaming and Wailing. Intermittent moments where they stop crying to respond to question. Crocodile tears. Then finally the old “I don’t like this cop can I sit with you ?” Line. There’s a few more I missed but that about sums up most of these videos

I think it’s as much about being childishly rude as anything, refusing to give the officer their attention, and complaining about them as if they’re not there. Plus they don’t like being outnumbered (they like to do the outnumbering), and getting someone on the phone is the next best thing to having them there. Sometimes, of course, they ask them to turn up too. Quite funny that she could no longer do the phone thing once she’d said it had run out of battery. Possibly a tactical error there.

@@peteg8187 No - but it's intimidation - first - ignoring commands (and in this person's case feigning ignorance and plain playing "dumb") and who knows who they could be calling. If this was a case of a drug trafficking car - as is seen in Illinois police cam cases - where the car has false tags, they have follow cars with heaven knows what weaponry. No - Police are not going to run off. But it increases the stress of the situation to not know if guns are present or potentially will be. To my mind there has to be a law that once the traffic stop is initiated - unless the phone use is needed to provide information - it should not be in use.

Sitting the hallway to register my son for 3rd grade. Across the hall, another teacher was with a mama, who did not know what a soft, conversational, talking voice was. The teacher asked what her little girl's name was. All of a sudden, there was such a low voice, she was whispering. Then the teacher asked her to spell it-it was important children were addressed correctly. Mama got loud again and said it didn't matter, everybody called her "Boo". The teacher said she would make note of that, but she had to put the child's legal name on the registration. Mama said she don't know how to spell it--said she would have to go to the car and get the birth certificate. (At least she had the birth certificate). A couple minutes later she took that piece of paper and started reading out letters: big this, hypen, big that, a dash, these are little letters and then and exclamation point---but she got lost and started all over again. I had a notebook with pen and started writing it as Mama spoke it. It didn't spell anything I had ever seen or heard. No wonder they called that poor child Boo. I told my husband and showed him when we all were home and had supper. He said one of his employees had told him, his "baby mama" got drunk/high to make up the baby's name-so it would be one nobody else had. Then the local paper published the little ones' letters to the editor for Christmas wishes to Santa. Goodness sake, more jibberish-type names.

Why should they? Absolutely NOTHING will happen to this thing. She'll serve NO time, pay NO fines, and suffer NO consequences. I would bet a years salary that she's already back on the streets driving the same car. And if you get in an accident with her, YOU and your insurance company will have to cover the costs, all of our rates will go up, and NOTHING will happen to her. So why not act this way?

The “friend of my mother” story collapsed as soon she refused to phone her mother to ask for the friend’s name. “I can only phone my mother from this phone and it’s dead” tells me why she freaked out when the officer touched that phone. It’s either not dead or it’s not dead and her mother is connected, listening and recording the stop.
