Sorry to disagree, but the Road Warrior Absolutely WAS set in a post-apocalyptic world, only the original MAD MAX was set in a per-apocalypse.

I think that George Miller said that the first one was the world on the verge of financial collapse because of resources and the the second the world had collapsed completely into the apocalypse but I think that the nukes didn’t go off until before the 3rd.

The world had already fallen in the original. Max is actually part of a group created to patrol the roads since there wasn't actual police anymore. It's the beginning of the apocalypse.

By focusing on the last two films, you’re neglecting the influence of characters like The Humongous and Auntie who were also critical in shaping the world of Mad Max. Humongous and his horde were the prototypical post-apocalyptic barbarian horde, raiding established settlements and outposts to sustain themselves. Next comes Auntie, who successfully organized a gang into a thriving trading post. Immortan Joe took the next step, you control vital resources and you control the people.

This wasn’t very very well researched. Or particularly well read.

You got a enough wrong that it seems like you had someone google mad max for 5 minutes then tell you about it while you were on your phone

@@jrushing1972 In the comic that tells you the story of Immortan Joe the History Man says that after taking over the citadel he gave Gastown to the People Eater. I guess the facts could've been altered by Joe in an effort of erasing the fact that his brother was killed by Dementus.

Revisit the prologue of The Road Warrior - it was post apocalyptic. Only Mad Max occurred prior to the apocalypse.

In the comics it says that he left Gastown to the People Eater, in the game it's under Scabrous Scrotus' rule and now in Furiosa they say it was Joe's brother (although i guess Joe could left Gastown to Scrotus after the 40 Days Wasteland War and then gave it to the people eater after Max killed him, I hope we get the answers in Mad Max: Wasteland)

​@@mirror8519 You're absolutely right, the game is set between furiosa and fury road. In the game Scrotus claimes to have defeated Dementus (even though it was revealed to be, in reality, furiosa in the movie) and then he took over gastown after. And then Scrotus is defeated by Max in the game. That's why scrotus is alive in furiosa but not in fury road:)

The rock riders biker gang are the remnants of the octoboss's renegades who broke away from dementus after he used them as bait in the attack on gas town. That is why the octoboss rebelled and attacked the war rig in furiosa

I don't think Furiosa and the wives will do any better in ruling then Immortan Joe did. I see the citadel devolving in in civil war within 2 years. Aunty entity was overall the best leader in the entire Mad Max franchise.

Live being the main point. Immortan Joe ruled for 20 + years without major issues other then Dementus. Lets see if Furiosa can last even half as long. Ruling is not about being nice but about being effective. Joes obsession with a non mutated heir did him in but he was mostly an effective ruler.

There's a peach tree in the citadel, too.

I think Dementus watching his loved ones being killed destroyed his morals. For all we know, his loved ones were killed because he was kind to others, so he decided he not only had to be hard, he had to train others to be hard so no one could take advantage of them again.

They explained it in the other movies about civilization collapsing over fuel shortages.

I love to think the Rock Riders were former Motocross teams and champions stranded in Australia in the Fall. Just like George Miller actually hired them for the movie

He was in the 2015 Mad Max video game as the final boss. So, you can guess what happened to him in the game, but I 'm not sure why GM didn't use hime in fury road.
