Fourth season was strong. I blame the lackluster plots of season 2 and also UPN.
@alexistaylor969
Ай бұрын
The main reason was poor marketing and starting with bad time slots and then constantly shifting the time slot mid season. For a Marketing example, there were barely any commercial and most of those were in the middle of the night after 10 PM or in the middle of the day at like noon to 1PM when everyone that would care about Star Trek would be at work or school. Lastly it wasn't called Star Trek Enterprise, just Enterprise, no one knew it was a Star Trek show until like Season 2.

@UCCDDgdjx8bG5S9uTFOgCKnw CBS CEO Les Moonves hated Star Trek and he hated Scot Bacula. He wanted to fire Bacula from Enterprise before season 4 and make it whole different show. He is the main reason why Nu-Trek is what it is. He hated that franchise, with a passion. But he fought tooth and nail to keep the rights for it, when they did the weird rights split, just to spite the other side.

You forgot one small detail… all of the Apollo ships returned to Earth. None went missing. Creating such an episode being so obviously fake is not what the creator of Star Trek, Gene Roddenbury had ever intended. Each episode, every movie, had to be believable. That is the purpose of science fiction, to make that which is a lie, seem real or possible. It would be better off for Star Trek to find something made by SpaceX, Boeing, Blue Origin, or Matchbox.
If I remember correctly. Before this episode Archer and the rest of the humans have quietly disliked how the Vulcans have limited how much tech info they give yhe humans. In this episode the Enterprise crew gets yhe chance to advance a different civilization, but they refuse to due to reaaons (watch episode). This brings a lot more understanding to why the Vulcans were being stingy with their tech.

It's one thing to withhold more advanced FTL drive technology to give a fledgling interstellar species time the opportunity to develop it for themselves. It's another thing to withhold life-saving medical treatment from a species that could die out after a couple of generations because another species on the same planet appears to be more deserving of survival and progression based on the advantage of not being diseased.
