I just watched his talk on KZread that was recorded at Loyola Marymount University. He was explaining how he got his foot in the door as an actor. He was an extra for 8 freaking years before he got his first real break. Very inspirational story and guy he is. He says no dream no life. I agree.

Half of you guys weren’t even born when this movie came out so you will never understand what a real ninja movie was. Notice the lack of BS CGI? If I myself were to release a movie like this it would rock. All these movies were missing was better scripting.

A brilliant movie for its time and an inspiration for thousands of martial artists world wide. Interesting comments, pritty about the disrespectful ones. In any case lets not forget its a movie! Training with weapons is no laughing matter and anyone training with these types of weapons should be given the respect they deserve just as some of you in here would expect from others in their place. Respect is a two way street!

True. But I was speaking from a historical perspective, as ninja were from the mainland of Japan, and the nunchaku, sai, and tonfa were Okinawan weapons, used in Karate. I did not know Kosugi knew Shotokan style though, I heard he knew karate, but I never knew which style. If I am not mistaken, he is also trained in Aikido and Kendo.

The black ninja was obviously pretending to get kicked in the face to put the white ninja off guard. As you can clearly see the kick never gets much closer than 3 inches away from the black ninja's face. I only wonder why the white ninja doesn't appear to notice his kick was cleverly juked.
