Joseph's stand, Hermit Purple, is actually really interesting because in addition to its regular abilities, it can also conduct Hamon, making him the only stand user to be able to combine the abilities.

I heard that Hamon users would have a similar stand like Hermit Purple since its a stand that's perfect for hamon. Like Jonathan with his stand that DIO uses in the early part of SC

In one of Araki's special interviews for JoJonium (Vol 9), he pretty much straight-up confirms that Hermit Purple, specifically, is a visualisation of Joseph's ability with the Ripple; and mentions that "If Jotaro's group time-travelled to the world of Part 2, they would probably be able to see Hermit Purple wrapped around Joseph, just like in Part 3". Interestingly, he also describes Hermit Purple as "a support ability that uses thought photography and thought hearing". That second point in particular, that Joseph's stand uses "thought hearing" (combined with the implication that young Joseph may have possessed Hermit Purple already, but wasn't aware of it, and therefore wasn't able to consciously manipulate it), pretty intensely recontextualises Joseph's "Your next line will be" gimmick.

What good would Hamon be in the sense that they aren't fighting any undead beings in part 3 (with the exception of Justice being able to create zombies but they're constructed from the stand's fog and not actually alive since they're already withered and dead) onwards. Hamon isn't useless in its entirety but just like stands there are some much too situational for certain battles, yet it keeps everything fresh and innovative.

Well in my previous comment I said that I finally understood how in part 2 Joseph predicted his enemy's dialogue and how his stand Hermit Purple's working has a connection with him predicting his opponent's dialogues. Its all become clear now. Thanks to all gentlemen for clearing my misunderstanding about how Joseph predicted dialogues.

It's enjoyable, but not one of the best

Stands are one of the best battle system ever made. It's just so wild hahaha. Jotaro is amazing. From a story perspective, I love how it all came back to the eternal war between Dio and Jonathan

Fun fact: stands were the origin or inspiration for a lot of power systems after such as Nen (Hunter x Hunter)

This is the point that made me love the franchise. Say what you want, but I honestly think Stands are SO much better than Hamon. Also, it's better not to rank each series as 'seasons', since Part 3 already has a second season.... so it' become confusing.

Part 2 made me love the Franchise I loved Part 3 but It needed to be shorter very long but it was a good ride. Very Repetitive but season two probably the best of the two seasons. Season 1 has its good moments in part 3 though

Fun Fact: Jotaro's look and mannerisms were supposedly modelled after Clint Eastwood.

11:28 - I think you mean "Bizarre" lmao Also based on what Avdol and Joseph said, Stands have always been part of this world. Avdol had his since childhood. The Joestar stands only materialized recently as a result of Jonathan's body alerting his descendants. Hamon appears to be something different altogether.

I never noticed but this episodes scene direction might be the best out of the entire series before part 4's scene transitions. the parallel between Joseph and Jotaro walking to face each other and the table being launched into the pipes was amazing and I can't remember anything like that happening again throughout this part of the series.

Now this is one I been waiting for.

Australian schools just went into quarantine so imma need these reactions so bad. Hopefully, we can start pumping episodes 2 at a time because this season is quite long, but don't force yourselves.

This is the part where stands are introduced in jojo. Part 3 was great my only issue with it is was that it was dragged out a little bit. The final fight in part 3 is one of the best fights I ever seen in anime/manga.

DIO (he uses all caps now) hid in the same coffin Erina used to survive. The coffin as you could see had a secret bottom compartment that DIO hid inside of. When Erina was rescued, the Coffin simply sank with DIO locked inside

Imma be real for the most part don't even bother taking mental notes cause a lot of things you learn here get forgotten and discarded. But it's still a lovable series even with it's many mistakes
