Enter "Flow State" (Jinpachi Ego - Blue Lock)

Фильм және анимация

What is "Flow State"? Just from hearing the phrase we all kind of have an idea of what it feels like, and can maybe even rembmer a few times
we entered it, but how can we do so more often?
Jinpachi Ego is one of my all-time favourite haracters, even though initially I really didn't expect to like him at all.
Yet as the series goes on, he gives so many gems of wisdom it's impossible not to like him and his unique, if brutal, philosophy.
Looking at the diagram he shows in chapter 111 of Blue Lock, here we examine what enables someone to enter "Flow State" and how you can do it too.

Its actually cool that they put this into an anime. In my highschool PE class we studied this, the different ways your mental and emotional state can effect you. Reaching flow requiring a balance between challenge, difficulty and competence. Also that if you want it too much or not enough will have an impact on your performance as well. Not groundbreaking stuff but better than a lot of anime explanations for character's performance

I can completely relate to this video and Ego's concept for self-improvement. When I read Blue Lock and stumbled upon this visualization, I couldn't help but think about not only football, but about art too. Musicians, painters, craftsmen, And me too. I'm a passionate story writer and I love to engulf myself in my ideas and I love the idea of having the power to direct the fate of a whole universe, only by the power of putting letters together and forming words out of them. I'm the one who's drawing a picture in the mind of my reader and I feel empowered imagining that. But I noticed how I oftentimes just did not have the power to finish things. I set my bar too low. I wrote fanfics bc I liked a character and aimed to write stuff about them, but I never really set a goal with that. And the state of boredom described these times really well. The anxiety however also is a huge issue, and I subconsciously aimed to solve the problem by improving my writing by writing fanfiction and getting better at telling a story, painting a picture in my readers' mind. Me and my best friend are thinking about creating a manga and well I'm in charge of the storytelling and the plot etc etc. But actually doing that is a goal that's far from what I can currently do, so I didn't even really get to actually write a script or so, I only have my countless ideas roaming around in my mind. I really want to get started but I am really scared that I might fuck things up by writing myself into a corner and destroying the story's flow or so. Right now on the other hand to the two examples above, I have found my state of flow and I am working on a work where I write about a series in which I was dissatisfied with the ending and try to fix this one by concluding the series in a better way than the original author did. And I do think that I'm going to be on a good way if I keep going and push through my lack of time and my occasional writer's blocks. I once read some chapters of that story that I wrote half a year ago and I was shocked to see how well I was phrasing things (I suck at that) and felt the flow of storytelling as a reader. I really felt proud of what I wrote and this once again proved to me that flow is a real thing. Anyway, thanks for reading that long-ass comment, I hope I did not waste your time.

Ok, so how exactly is One Piece different from the hundreds of shounen out there? Well, it isnt. It is exactly what a shounen should be. It follows the lose-train-win formula. So how is it any better? Bingo. Because it incorporates the formula into something fresh and simple. One Piece arcs can be surprisingly good. There were even times that I was shocked at some plot twists and revelations. It has a very interesting setting as well. And what might that be? The World. The whole world is One Piece's oyster. It varies from vast, scorching deserts to cold snowy mountains, the concept of adventure here is well defined, it really makes you feel that world isnt small after all. And that my friend, is what an adventure anime should really be. One Piece knows how to pull it off, be it comedy or serious, and believe me, One Piece knows how to be serious when it needs to be. But it never forgets its roots at the same time, I know it sounds super lame, it is the emphasis of friendship that glues the whole crew together. Most shounen anime's suffers immensely from originality. Because of this, it is hard to distinguish characters from each other, especially in my case as I have my fair share as an otaku. And most of the characters in em lack depth and substance, its hard to remember a character when you know very little about him. But One Piece is immune from this disease. Each character of One Piece is very... say....unique that you'll find it hard to forget about them. They all have their individual motives, strengths, weakness and even quirky traits. Plus, each individual of the Straw Hat Pirate Crew has an immersing past, that'll be hard for you not to delve into. And they all have a certain role, not one character gets overshadowed by the other. They do meaningful interactions with each other. And regardless, that each member is vastly different from each other, they all formed a formidable bond. Even the by-passing characters are memorable. In contrast to the majority, I find the animation to be creative. Just like how the characters are different and distinguishable. An anime doesn't need to be ripe to be good. It just needs to be entertaining. Although I do enjoy a deep, thought-provoking anime, an anime doesn't need to be complex to be satisfying. It can be anything, as long as it offers gratification. And One Piece does. Another potential problem is its popularity. Most people consider mainstream anime's to be somewhat of a failure because of its targeted demographic, and that is everyone. Do not judge One Piece from its fans. Judge it for what it is. Do not be mistaken, I am not saying One Piece is for everyone. In the end, it's all about taste. But if you have any hint of love for shounen surging in your veins, there is no reason for you not to watch this, not ONE bit. In short, the plot is very promising, the main cast is several but well flesh out, the battles are very diverse, and engaging and the comedy doesn't get old, even after 300 episodes. Regardless of this, the level of enjoyment I receive from One Piece is insurmountable. And sometimes that's all you need. Scratch that. Most of the time that's all you need.

loved the message, something people should think about a lot more often that everything they do takes time especially if it's a high goal, i sometimes also get discouraged when trying to get better at something and thinking i havent done much progress or haven't improved much, even if it hasn't been that long, but i have to always remember that it takes time, sometimes a lot, so i can't give up on something only because i'm having an unrealistic expectation of that goal "it's because you're trying to do it too quickly" is a great sentence everyone NEEDS to hear beautiful vid as always man

@@justthebest2531 I'm not him but, if you don't mind. Here's how I reach flow. First thing first try to be in thinking state ( responding to thoughts and thinking are completely different things). Do such activity at the start of your work. Which demands effort and a bit challenging. Like I do whilst I study to solve English comprehension or any practical topic. Once you achieve that, you will be in flow state. Note:- don't get distracted by technology and brake your flow cycle like at all.

0:15 no way did u not know about the flow boredom anxiety chart before ego mentioned it, if the challenge is too low you are bored, if the challenge is too high u are stressed or anxious, but when they are around the same level or 10% up or down something u can make up if u rly try u enter flow. Now main problem is snapping yourself out of it as soon as you enter it.

There's an interesting concept I've only seen handled well once in anime and I think it might make a solid video for you. It's specifically in durarara at the season 1 finale, when the izaya talks about the need to continuously evolve and the lack of satisfaction without it. As someone that has reached fairly lofty heights in some areas, I find myself thinking back to this scene a lot. There's almost nothing I enjoy more now that I'm good at it then I did when I was first starting and able to rapidly evolve. At this point, I think that sense of rapid growth means far more to me than any actual goal. It makes me want to get good at something just for the sake of feeling improvement, rather than a desire to use that attained skill and it's so compelling that it's hard to work at anything where I'm not rapidly improving.

Great video! I've read once an advice on how to price a product. Just imagine the minimal price for which you will produce and sell it. Done? Multiply the price by two. I think it could be matched to accomplishments too. Multiply the minimal satisfoctory result by two, I think it will help to indentify "Flow State".

Do a video about a confidence detox (very dangerous and and necessary aspect for flow state ) If you detox your confidence too much you will become less motivated but if did a right amount it will get you in to flow state too quickly and it will make a real confidence instead of a fake one

So getting it flow state is about getting into a state of fun and excitement to the point where it doesn't get overwhelming and by putting a target to low or unachievable leds to boredom 🤔 so it be fair to say to build on interest and get rid of limiting resistance and continuing focus and alignment on why

This is just my opinion about my understanding of a flow state. Doing easy tasks repeatedly will make you bored. Doing hard tasks abruptly will make you anxious. So set reachable goals, learn the basics, and practice them. If you fail, find the mistake, fix it, and improve it.

The concept of the "Blue Lock" represents the idealized version of the American dream, suggesting that hard work alone can lead to success. This mentality, reminiscent of the aggressive "wolf of Wall Street" or the "true alpha" or sigma mentality, is not a new phenomenon. However, it is important to acknowledge that not everything is within our reach. For instance, becoming Mr. Olympia in bodybuilding requires more than just hard work; it often involves factors such as genetics and, unfortunately, the use of steroids. Additionally, it is worth noting that the world's five richest individuals typically come from affluent backgrounds. While it is true that striving for personal excellence is important, it is crucial to maintain a balanced perspective and not let ego inflate. Remember, if you were the last person on Earth, you would be the best at everything, but that scenario does not reflect reality.

Actually I’m clicked for this video How Can I learn and how to use my ego. How to improve my self that thing that I’m most sucked at. Actually the character both in flow amd anxiety phase He want to be the BEST That’s just anxiety’s But that’s driving him forward. Making little goal to reach little goals but not too low goals. Improve and in finally BEING THE BEST Ego is something I’m not good That. I always thought when I’m good at something I’m egoistic But when I was too good I was more Egoiisric But the same time I don’t know If Inwas rifgtnor no I don’t have that much confidence of ego And It’s xomes Back to depression. When I wan tor improve and defeating my depression Am I arrogant or egoistic? That’s a difference I don’t know yet.
