Keep posting the build. I’m fixing up a 65 Newport. It’s completely apart at this point.

I have a 68 300 2 dr hrd top red with a black vinyl top rust free. Im putting a cd player in it and I won't cut holes for speakers. I have a 6x9 installed in the back in the factory opening, now I need to install a 4x10 in the dash. I purchased a Kenwood 4x10 and then after the purchase I think the magnet is to large so I purchased a Pipes 4x10 and really hope the kenwood will fit because after having both speakers I hooked them both up to a car cassette radio and a dc converter and found the Kenwood sounded much, much better. Now heres where you come in, if you will share the information with me. How do I change the speaker in the dash? Is there a way to take the leading edge dash pad off first and then the tin piece between the pad and the windshield that houses the speaker? Mid sixties, to later seventies, is the music I like listening to and the years with the best sterio seperation and the best way to hear the separation is as such in my opinion. thanks for the help.

Sure I can help. Let me make a video here soon to better explain it. I too had a heck of time figuring this out. There were no videos at the time.
