Hello Aishwarya. Interesting to listen to your story. Typical schools , teachers and parents in India, those days....children did not have much choice than listening to parents and study accordingly. If I see your fashion sense, hairido, make up etc....you should have been in the Fashion industry. I also was so much interested in Art, music , dance, which none of my family members had, no kalavaasana at all. I also applied at Fine Arts college, NIFT etc. I was pressurised to study Pharmacy course ( which I didnt want). After three years of working as pharmacist, I went to total different career. I pursued my Hotel Managment studies, was always fascinated by Hotel and tourism industry. I passed out with good marks. Fate brought me later to Europe ( higher studies). Since then I have always worked in the Food and beverage department at different restaurants and hotels in Belgium. Past nine years I work at a High end Belgian / French restaurant as Maitre d'hotel in Brugge town of Belgium....and still enjoying it, though it is stressful at times ( Guests pay a lot of money to Dine and drink, so everything should be perfect).
