The witness's life would be under constant threat . Because of such uncertainties, police feel disappointed to deal with such cases properly. Moreover they often get intimidated from different corners. We can console ourselves that every state gets the government they deserve. (This is not about any particular state. This is about the law and order and judicial system of India).
