Supraglottic area is supplied by internal branch of superior laryngeal nerve which arises from inferior ganglion of vagus, which can get damaged in a skull base surgery.

Glossopharyngeal doesn't supply any part of larynx or hypopharynx. It cannot lead to aspirations.voice is normal because in case of superior laryngeal palsy, there will be difficulty in raising the pitch, most of the patients don't have complaints regarding voice.
