Band: Ensiferum
Country: Finland
Genre: Viking/Folk Metal
Year: 2007
Album: Victory Songs
Track: № 06
Song: Wanderer
Lyrics:
In time
Bleeding wounds will heal
Unlike some which
Are too deep to see
Like scars
In the nomad's soul
Their mending
Is so slow
Not the shout
Of a hundred enemies
Can make him feel
Fear inside him
But when Sun sets
And the cold arrives
With crushing solitude
In the darkness of night
He will ride
Across land and time
To find a way
Through this endless night
There's a storm in his heart
And the fire burns his soul
But the wanderer's part
Is to ride alone
With bare hands
He has taken many lives
He has had a hundred women
By his side
From enchanted woods
To the freezing North
He is known at every sea
And far beyond
As the Moon grows
And the circle is complete
He lies down
And waits for sleep
But there's always
A scenery in his mind
Of all that beauty
He once left behind

bsniegowski Never even knew it existed as an American sadly. When i first started listening i was like ok... lol but then once the guitar and singing kicked in i was like damn this is pretty fucking sweet. Lol but i think thats really cool their taking music from the roots of Nordic culture and putting a modern twist on it.

there is no such thing as viking metal, there is folk metal or death metal, even guys from amon amarth ridicule the "viking metal" categorization, because viking parts are only contained in the text, and the music is what defines a ganre, not text, therefore, viking metal doesnt exist...

Co się mówi wątpliwościom? - TIL VALHALL'A!!! kzread.info/dash/bejne/e5VhqcmBZtSnksY.html Ditty (Pioseneczka) Who shall give back my fixed on you eye, mine shade of time that had departured after you? Ah, those days like game murmurs, like flora - young more and more. Non far away - such dwindled, we on a nutshell shall stay, then sail awary the seasons and watery veins. The redness of blood childishly we'll dream just like the swollen out cheeks of cherry fruit would seem. Metal of storms will infere anew foamed with dandelions fluff. But teardrops thunder like rocks avalanche will change into small green scarab And in such a way waddling alternately shall we sail carelessly towards oblivion, only the shades weeping after us on the ground will eternally stay Year 1942, January the 16th Krzysztof Kamil Baczyński
