Today we are going on a full on seafood tour all over Ensenada Baja California.
We’re going to hit a couple well known spots and try a couple local recommendations. Down below are the places I hit and a little bit about them.
TACOS FENIX
Espinoza 451 Col. Obrera 22830 Ensenada, Baja California Mexico
Had to start this seafood tour at the iconic TACOS FENIX. Apparently… this is where the fish taco was invented or at least they made the Baja style fish taco popular. Very small cart on a street near downtown Ensenada. The tacos were really really good. Great batter, soft tortilla and they setup a nice condiments bar right in the front so you can choose what you want on your tacos. Even though they are known for their fish tacos, you have to also get the shrimp. They definitely live up to their hype.
EL GUERO
Boulevard Lázaro Cárdenas S/N Col. Centro 22800 Ensenada, Baja California Mexico
When you drive through the Main Street of Ensenada, you will always see this spot poppin. I finally decided to stop here and see what everyone talks about. Many locals told me to get some conchas, which are shellfish’s. I ordered the sampler which had clams, oysters, black clams and blood clams. My favorite had to be the oysters. Everything was so fresh and flavorful.
LA GUERRERENSE

Your trip to Ensenada wouldn’t be complete without stopping here. La Guerrerense is a very iconic spot in the heart of downtown Ensenada. Literally EVERYTHING is good here. Legends Anthony Bourdain & Mark Wiens have also visited this spot and had really good things about them. I always make sure to come here on my trips to Ensenada. 100% my favorite ceviche spot I Have ever been to. MUST COME HERE
SEMILLA
Semilla Colinas del Golfo 377
When I hear hidden Gem I think of this place. I stumbled across a picture of a crazy looking marlin sandwich on IG so you know I had to find out where it was from. I traced it back to this place lol. Semilla is a really really cool coffee shop hidden in a suburb of Ensenada. The chefs and workers were super dope and welcoming. I got to go into the kitchen to see how they prepare the sandwiches and coffee. After seeing that kitchen, I knew they treat food as an art. Watching the chef put everything together, was like watching a artist paint. From Ingredients to proportions, everything was perfect. Let me tell you, That Marlin sandwich was one of the best seafood sandwiches I have ever had. I am a huge fan of this place and will be coming back when im in Ensenada.
