You left the jack stand down. Isn't that what likely caused the previous owner to have to weld it? Seems you should pick that up prior to operation.

The ‘break back’ design is convoluted. Takes me anywhere from 10-30 minutes to reset the bar after it breaks back. You need a small tractor like in this vid. If your right rear wheel sticks out past the close end of the cutter, then it continuously hangs up grass on the close end. Mower doesn’t like thick hay. Don’t try to mow until the dew dries thoroughly. Discbines cost too much & eat too much diesel. Get a disc mower.

Do not buy one of these they are junk and you can't get anyone to warranty these things they are truly junk
