Enormous batch of Transparent soap base (not a tutorial)
In this video, I will be showing how I made my largest batch of transparent soap base yet. The batch is approximately 7.5 kgs (16.5lbs)
Firstly, I would like to mention that this video is not meant to be a tutorial, however, it could serve as a refresher to those who have already bought my tutorial or attended live workshops with me.
I have taken a few liberties with premixing some ingredients because given the size of this batch, the temperatures don't drop quickly.
The soap batch looks yellowish when unmolded due to the large volume but when cut into bars the yellow is barely visible. Once the base is re-melted to make coloured soap bars, this slight yellow tinge completely disappears.

Learning how to make the transparent soap base will definitely benefit those who like to make their products completely from scratch. However, do keep in mind that this is limited to small scale production (those who make a few kilos of soap at a time). This method doesn't effectively replace large scale manufacturing of soap bases.
It does involve handling of lye, so please ensure to follow general lye safety precautions. It involves heating of some of the ingredients as well.
Keep pets and children away while making this soap. Fumes from the lye and/or the alcohol could irritate so ensure proper ventilation.

Hi Aruna, I know this video is old. But I just purchased your recipe, and tried it. So far, I failed 3 times. All my soaps are very very cloudy they are opaque. No matter what trouble shooting tips I tried to fix it, they did not work. When the soap was remelted, it stayed opaque and would not turn clear even the slightest. I tried emailing support from where I bought your recipe, it has been 3 days and no response at all. I am at a lost as where to get assistance. Please help. Thank you.

The Glycerin used here is vegan. It is one of the solvents without which the soap will not be as transparent. It will also not remelt easily if we omit Glycerin
