For those who dont know, Gilgamesh promised Enkidu as he died that he would never have another he called friend, so that his friendship with Enkidu could never lose its value.

What I liked in the fight between Gilgamesh anf Iskandar is that it showed us that Gilgamesh is not the kind of character that looks down on everything. In fact, that guy actually have the personality that can accept what is worthy, based on his standards. He didn't belittle Iskandar even once in their fight, in fact if didn't promise to only have a single friend forever, it seems like he is actually willing to accept Iskandar as a friend.

You gotta admit Iskander is a badass for even suggesting this. If anyone else dared suggest this they'd be dead in an instant. Gil does not tolerate mongrels who think themselves as equal to him. Iskander is one of the few people to ever get to see Gil's true power. Gil used his most prized possessions against Iskander and even allowed him to live in his world. That speaks volumes about Iskander.

This isn't just canon in the franchise it's irl canon. In the story Gilgamesh literally says that he "loves Enkidu as he would a woman" multiple times and it also says that they would hold hands and fall asleep.

This is Shockingly Tragic after playing Babylonia in F/GO. You can Kill Enkidu and place a different soul in his body and he will still override any attempt at Harming Gil.
