The cabalgata are different but similar to Appleby Horse Fair in Westmorland United Kingdom.

Piebald, as we call them here, although the travellers usually call them 'coloured'.
Scary stuff considering horses can only breathe through their nose not through the mouth, several of the people seemed more concerned with making their animals go through the deepest water rather than whether the horse was actually clean - which is the original purpose of taking the horses into the river. Horses forced to go around & around for no good reason..... just because you can doesn't mean that you should.

Yes, just to repeat what someone has already said, and to make sure everyone realises it - horses can only breathe through their nose and not through their mouth. I've loved horses for over sixty years and I hadn't necessarily realised that. But then again, the issue never came up as I never took a horse swimming. Much as I would've loved to!
A bunch of people showing off, not really caring how their horse feels about all this. Many horses were tired from being ridden up and down hills all day. And what's with the blinders? Let your horse see!

These traveller girls have a bit of a weird dress sense. Sort of a mix between Lilly Savage and 1980's Blackpool Saturday night.....
4 people to a 2 man cart. Where is the care. Speeding down hill for their pleasure only.
