I've always preferred GT00 style balancing and having a "curate your own deck" style of gameplay is definitely something to look forward to. Would be nice to play around with something GT00 esque that's actively maintained

​@@wwatesseNot the OG commenter, but im sure he meant that your deck need to have an amount of though behind, instead of Vanilla saying "F*ck this im bringing Pokra" And as you can only Carry 6 plants, well now you can't have any room for plants that you wont use.

Grind thousand was always my favourite mod, nice to see another attempting a non-linear choose your plant method. Hopefully there wont be levels that require a specific plant type that one could be stuck on for not buying it when you had the funds.

This might finally get me back into pvz mods!

I've played the first 2 and a half worlds, looks really promising so far, enjoy the concept as well and I always had a thing for Eclise esthetics so that's just a plus for me. It's so fresh and new but somehow still familiar, I kind of just knew that all star won't tackle my plants. Can't wait to play more of this actually, my first playthrough is all about finding out how far you can get without paid plants lol, thought the journey would've ended with excavatet encounter but you surprisingly have some counters, especially since they work like they do in Eclise I Zombie (haven't played GT tho, so won't get those references) Anyways, thanks for your work!

I’ve been playing this mod for several hours and I have some suggestions: 1. The game is really hard. Even with advanced strategies I still struggled quite a bit. I recommend increasing the amount of plant food gained on every level by at least 2. 2. Sunflowers and other sun producers recharge way too slow. It doesn’t make a lot of sense and it contributes to the difficulty of the mod 3. I almost found myself softlocked in the pirate seas final level because I didn’t have threepeater. Perhaps it should be gained as part of the tutorial. I really like the mod though, it is very promising

@@eatencheetos3937 Alright, so I don't quite see which advanced strategies you've been using, but I think the (early-)game is fine as is. I just finished Wild West and took a first look into Frostbite Caves and I have yet to buy a plant. It's hard sure, but manageable. I doubt another easy mod could thrive in an environment flooded with ideas from everywhere, especially if you want to present your own gimmick in a meaningful way. A mod can have a certain flare but never really feel like it, because even the best gimmick or mechanic can be downplayed by unchallenging difficulties to a point where it's not even worth mentioning anymore, hence I really like the direction the mod took. (Not accounting for the additional challenge I put on myself by not buying plants)

You don't need threepeater to beat the final PS level. I was stubborn and didn't want to grind so I ended up beating it with strawburst, which I had bought earlier because of a misclick. Was very hard, but I guess if strawburst of all things worked any area of effect plant should work in that level.

i wish there was a better place to talk about this mod, it really changes pvz2 into something entirely new and isnt afraid to trim off the many bad apples pvz2 had

A question why when am about to download it it say it might be harmful?

For some reason I can't place the obb file into the com. cuz it keeps asking for permission when I've already tapped the button that give permission and it's this never ending loop of trying to place the obb file, telling me to give permission, giving permission, get sent back, it's asking for permission again, rinse and repeat

Did I did something wrong? I don't hear any sound efects (or sound fx) in my gameplay Edit: nevermind, it fixed itself by closing the game

I removed plants in the first place because of how they feel to play. primal sun would break this mod in half, and scaredy adds nothing to the mod.

For everyone on mobile, if you cant acess obb on your device, you need to connect phone with laptop/pc then download the obb on your computer and copy it to your phone

roundabout shenanigan. interally "egypt" is still the first world, I just renamed the text and texture to that of Homeworld and then make a clone of it for the new egypt.

How do you make the mod?, do you program or something?

i will never not get used to the hit boxes in this mod, call it skill issue but its kind of dumb. also, the night levels so far are the levels ive struggled the most, im hopefull to never see any again in the mod, even with more sun than usual in them, they are very rough levels. not terrible but they are not the most fun to play either, frostbite caves by far was my favorite world! love what you did with it. also i really wish zombie abilties like relic or the invisable dudes in dark ages were telegraphed better, you gotta clear everything in their way and its the most annoying and tedious thint ever especially with LC and DA's ambushes, to much stuff gets in your way to deal with the threat you either need an insta or just pray your attackers shoot fast enough, very fun and interesting mod, but i will always dread the night levels, i hope those are the only two

I recently downloaded the mod and to use the mod I need to move the obb file into a specific folder but even though i dragged the file into the folder using file explorer it goes into the imported files section and i can do anything with it does anyone know what im doing wrong

balancing, how each plant needs to be distinct to be worth their salt, animation not working out in favor, the art looks bad, coding problems, etc.

I'm about to ask why you replaced Gold Leaf with Shine Vine until I figured gold tiles works differently now. Isn't 200 sun seem rather too much? I feel 150 is fine. Now, I get the idea that it's free tile sun producer, but now that the game caps out seed slot to 6, shouldn't the upside overcome the downside? I guess that's it. Oh, also speaking of gold tiles. The tiles are lit when not activated and becomes unlit when it does, It just seems odd. Intentional? Perhaps you want to mimic how other trap tiles looks I assume.

Shine Vine only costs 100 sun??? as for trap tiles, I only have 2 states to work with. and because I'm eternally lazy, it's easier to use the lit state as "ready".

The mod is quite fun but less new zombie

Just completed the first three worlds and the start of the other three. The game is actually exciting and surprisingly well thought out. It's very interesting when you lose levels and try to figure out which plants could be used there. Also, plants are rebalanced to be useful well and I love peashooter and iceberg lettuce in this. I just bought the stalling triple headed 425 sun dandelion plant and the coconut canon and I feel like I got scammed though. Those are kinda weird. Especially the coconut canon, it should have been 400 sun. Would love to see more plants and a continuation to this. It really fleshes out a lot of the aspects of PvZ 2 and.... just gives it more character y'know. Plants and zombies feel more special.

I just played the game. Really annoying clicking on the sun so much, kind of a hindrance to play the game sped up. I feel like instead of 25 sun being dropped every five seconds, 50 sun should drop from the sky every 10 seconds, that would definitely improve the experience. But then again, what do I know about game development, that would probably be a nuisance to put in or some shit cuz the sun from sky has to be like its own thing or sth? idk man Edit: Nevermind, its fine when not sped up. Guess I'm just gonna play that way cuz its supposed to be fast paced anyways and it becomes too fast if I turn that on forever. The balancing feels really really weird though. Seeing Walnuts get eaten so early and the sunflowers and the peashooters also feel strange and just kinda hard to get used to. For now at least Update: I'm used to the change now and I've been having a lot of fun lol. I really love this and thank you for making it.

After the intro with a bunch of pea plants the game showed me the player's house lawn then played the victory theme and this kept repeating
