On an Inntravel cycling holiday, we arrange the hire of a high-quality bike and you cycle self-guided from one welcoming hotel of character to the next, following our detailed maps and route notes while your luggage is transported ahead. As our cycle holidays are for individuals, not groups, you can take your pick of the routes suggested each day and cycle at entirely your own pace. You don't need to be a serious cyclist, wear Lycra, or even own a bike. All that's required is a sense of adventure and a yearning to explore and enjoy the quiet lanes of Europe, slowly.
We plan all our cycling holidays carefully, making sure that they are interesting and enjoyable, mainly on quiet roads and country lanes. Every cycle holiday is tried and tested by our team, making sure you relax and take in the beautiful scenery and wonderful views on two wheels. We have a wide range of flexible cycle holidays, they are designed to let you choose how you spend your days, depending on how energetic you feel. We try to ensure two days are never the same, our notes often include a choice of two or more routes each day. If you prefer pootling around a town or city and only doing a few kilometres or if you prefer to have a whole day cycling, simply use the maps we provide to improvise and extend or shorten your journey.
We usually arrange two nights in each hotel, giving you opportunity to have a break from cycling if you wish or to enjoy a ride from where you are staying. You can add extra nights along the way and our expert team will be happy to advise the best places to extend! You can also add on a city stay at the end or the start of your cycling holiday.
We’ve been offering cycle holidays in Europe since the late 1980s, and our range is wide and varied, with something for all ‘amateurs’. We use a numeric grading system to help you narrow down the holidays that are right for you. Grade 1 holidays explore the easiest of lanes and trails while, at the other end of the scale, grade 2-3 holidays feature numerous ascents each day.
