We found these beautiful species of flamingos in the high-altitude lakes of South America, like the stunning red colored Laguna Colorada (Red Lagoon) and the white colored salt lake, Laguna Blanca (White Lake) in Bolivia, and the striking Chaxa Lagoon in the Atacama Region of Chile.

my heart bleeds when I see these pictures... When I was young, at the Titikaka Lake all the shores were widely pink.... They were so abundant... today you see only a vew, their number has dwindled dramaticaly ... in our languages quechua and aymara we call them pariwana...
