This is how CSL should've looked out of the box, not like a cartoon city! It's a shame that you have to do all of these work arounds and mod admin to get a realistic looking city. I hope Paradox learn from the community and produce a realistic looking sequel. 🤞

Whatever Paradox do in the future you really need some quality in engine native anti aliasing. Not a really weak post process solution or enormously performance sapping super sampling. It's the number one thing the game needed graphically, so when the sequel finally arrives or you upgrade the while engine, please make it happen.

Not many developers or game companies would admit that their game is not perfect and officially embrace mods like Colossal Order and Paradox! Such a progressive attitude! Kudos to the developers and the dedicated creators of these mods!

Thanks for making these, its a really great game! Sometimes i wish some of the few essential mods were implemented into the main game, but other than that its great

Paradox should add a decent antialiasing option in the game. Cause right now it doesn't do any good.

@NE Studios yeah I hear ya, could probably partner with a couple creators too and get some better assets. I made the jump from console to PC and it’s an entirely different game for sure once mods are in it.

Hi @Pres, in a precedent version of this video you were using daylight classic with option 2 & 3 ticked, now you've remove it from the list. any reason for this ? have you found the perfect look and feels without it ? thx :)

For some reason I can't get color corrections LUTs to show up in my list. Subscribing or downloading externally doesn't seem to work. I tried 5 different ones, none show up in content manager :/ I haven't had a single problem with assets or mods, they all show up fine.

Does this mean that City Skylines won't break games using mods they suggest when the next update / DLC arrives. Just pick the top 20 Mods or more and put them ingame

Every mods are working for me except the HDRI Cubemaps, they don't appear in the list provided by Cubemap Replacer, even after doing the Reload thing and restarting the game. Anyway, the game looks way better with a little bit of tweaking with the mods listed in this collection. Thanks Pres, thanks the mod creators and thanks Paradox.

You forget the mod to delete the yellow terrain colour of farming lands / resources. :) I use it a lot.

I think that they use the best pc available but.. I think I'd recommend at least 12 gigs of ram. an intel core i7 something higher than 7000 in the series. And then a gtx 1070 8gb. That is my guess. Because I have a gtx 970 and 8 gigs of ram and an intel core i5 and the game runs like ass after a while of gameplay. probs because of the ram loss and the population of my city

I do not have to add mods to SimCity to improve the lighting and graphics, it just looks good. These features should be included in the game and you can adjust them as you like. Even with settings like are you using a 4k monitor choose these settings, if not choose those settings.

well this graphic mod and 2000+ custom assets destroy mine, 45 minutes loading screen, 10FPS on game, High heat from my PC and Blue screen when hit 40 minutes of play but i would say WORTH IT!, I COULD NEVER PLAY VANILLA AGAIN AFTER STEAM WORKSHOP. i guess i need to upgrade my gaming pc to play this game again, my pc specs are beyond the requirement but all mods and Custom content make my PC look so dumb

cities skylines still good. modders keep them alive, cities 2 should be a free update for cities 1 (optimizing,more graphics support) cause the only thing this game lack are optimizing. so rather than make brand new game, paradox should optimizing their game for newer specs. this game already amazing and customable

if the mod alone do not consume too many resources on your PC, what causes more lag is the use of too many assets, you can try installing all the mods you want but without installing assets, you will not notice a decrease in your performance

@@FrankGranados yep i've 2000+ custom asset with size about 3.4GB without an SSD i need to wait atleast 40 minutes to got into game with a 40% chance for not responding and 20% chance of windows restart

Yes, great idea downloading a bunch of graphics mods that artificially stretch the capacities of the game and obviously aren't officially supported, considering any big unmodded city with a few dozens assets already runs at 10 fps at most even on high end rigs.
