Engwe X24 is my New Favorite E-Bike - High Performance Triple Suspension Monster

Спорт

I had previously wanted Engwe's X26 model, but a few design quirks held me back. Engwe's redesigned X24 really surprised me in just how capable and practical of a bike it is, so now that Engwe has re-released their new SUPER-X series, do the fixes to the design finally make the bike a worthwhile option?

I bought the Engwe X24 last week here in UK. black friday deap $1600 so reasonably happy. I am 5-9 foot tall and really thats the limit for the X24 regardless what Engwe says and some reviewers. My seat is at its lowest setting yet i am almost on tip toe sitting on it. It is a very heavy bike. I wanted the X26 originally because of the mag wheels but that would have been far too tall with 26 in wheels. Its a fun bike for the price and great looking. Twin batteries and hydrolic brakes..fat tyres..decent range if you use pedel assist mostly. Smooth ride

Great review! Been deciding the X24 or X 26. I’m 6’1” and decided to go with the 24 model after your review. Thnx for helping make that decision easier.

Was a fantastic review. Thank you for taking the time to make this. I wonder what the throttle only range would be on this bike in average conditions with some hills and start stop.

Great review! I'm leaning toward the 24" bikes cause I'm old and shrinking. Lol Thanks Man!

Nice video, is it suitable for the height of 6"5?

Saw you flying around town on it a few times lately! Seems like engwe is actually listening to customer feedback a bit too.

Yep, I definitely did pass you on it the other week! While they aren't perfect, I do appreciate that Engwe seems to actually be interested in updating their designs from feedback and it's part of why I like to participate in their FB groups. I have also had to turn down a lot of other brand's products for trying to force a script, but Engwe always has given me basically 100% freedom in my reviews which I respect quite a lot.

Nice video! Great walkthrough! Can you tell me how tall are you? Would this bike be a good fit for a 175cm / 5.8ft person??

I am 6' tall. It would be fine for you I think. My wife is 5'6" and didn't think she would be able to ride it, but it was just fine with the seat all the way down.

7 months later... Did the x26 get the upgrades that the x24 has with the battery and things?

As far as I am aware, the X26 includes the exact same electronic upgrades as the X24.

The X24 is by far the more practical bike in my opinion. With the bag on the back, there's actual space to carry things whereas I pretty much have to use a backpack on the M20. If you want to ride it like a normal bike, the M20 is also a lot worse to pedal. That said, if you just want a little electric moped, the M20 is great in that regard. Another consideration is that the batteries are easier to remove on the M20, so I might use that in winter when commuting so I can bring the batteries inside.

No mud guard on the front wheel? Do you know if they offer one?

Not as far as I'm aware regarding official ones. I am actually today going to be adding an aftermarket one though, the same set I put on my Engwe C20. I'll likely post a followup of a few mods I'm doing.

Or you could buy a used road bike for $30 and build up legs muscles. The only time anyone on ANY bike beats me is when its electric and they are breaking the law. Can't imagine the need to spend damn near 2K on a bike and I ride everyday.

Depends on wants and needs. I had around 6000 miles on my acoustic bike before getting an ebike, and the boost in range and convinience allowed me to fully replace my car with a bike. EBikes are really nice for work. I commute by bike now and its nice not getting sweaty.

The benefits are that speed with less effort is both fun and you stay cooler when hot. Also hills are the same effort as level ground. Also my fat tire bike will cross the beach and ride on the shore. Not many bikes riding the waters edge, I can tell you.
