• Kugoo S1 vs Xiaomi M36...
ENGWE EP-2 Pro is a foldable e-bike with fat tires and a 750-watt motor. In this review I've tested the so called "upgraded" version which has a battery with bigger capacity and therefore - better range.
How does the bike perform in real life situations and which are its strengths and weaknesses? Let's find out together in this review!

    nice video! i have driven mine for 500 km, and im getting so sick of the breaks, i don't need to use my bell to go around corners, i can just break that's how loud it is xD, the shifter is nice tho, but the seat also good to upgrade to a c9 or something. the tires are very thin and can easy go flat, so future i would upgrade the tires as well. the battery drains QUICKLY! so getting a second battery is highly recommended! ALSO if you live in a country with a lot of wet weather, i would be careful, reviewers say its IPX4-5 i have even seen 6, but its not true, i asked ENGWE support, its IPX2, i will not take the risk driving it in rain at all.

    better range? i just got mine a few days ago. i can barely ride 2 hours and the battery just goes down to 1 bar. i ride at an average of speed of 20kmh with pedal assist. i don't even use the throttle more than 10 percent of the time i don't get it. why is it so bad. it says it has 100 to 120km range is that at speed level 1 - going max 10km an hour or something if you go 20km + the battery just goes so quick

  • @aleXpeed1

    @aleXpeed1

    Жыл бұрын

    If you recall, how many kilometers did/do you manage to cover riding at around 20 km/h with pedal assist and no throttle whatsoever until the battery got/goes flat? (maybe you can test it again for relevance) Is it your city hilly? I thought riding at a decent speed of 20 km/h with pedal assist and no throttle nor "top speed" pulls could get the bike to around, let's say, 80-100 km. with no issues and could make me consider it for a buy (with 2 batteries) but these conclusions make me change my mind. I saw a video of an EP-2 being ridden on electric power full time top speed and the guy got 33 miles (53 km/h) out of it until it got fully flat, then he replaced the battery with the second one. Yet, I couldn't find any range test for the EP-2 pro or Engine Pro at a medium speed with full pedal assist which would be the most relevant to me (for full electric I'm better off with my 125 scooter if I don't want to pedal at all and have way better power; but since I got and rode it a lot and got really lazy, sometimes I feel like moving and pedaling and I like the feel that an electric bike gives to the user and the liberty of taking it through parks, woods, very rough roads, sidewalks, bike lanes... breaking sometimes traffic rules without being afraid of cops taking away your driving license, at least in my country haha...). Sorry for the long comment! Thank you for the answer, enjoy it and ride safe!

  • @TechMishka

    @TechMishka

    Жыл бұрын

    These tests are always very subjective. | When you ride the bike, it has pedal assist - meaning that it has been supporting you all the time. Get to ride more often and you will find ways to optimize the battery consumption.

    @@aleXpeed1 dont know why they advertise 100km. it's more like 50km if you ride on the lowest speed. and 10km if you ride the fastest speed. no joke. if you put it on the top speed and cycle 6 miles (10km) straight, the battery will go down to 1 bar and probably even die. i know because I've had electric scooters that said 20 mile range and then went down to 1 bar on the battery after i went just under 2 miles on top speed

    The charger has a fan that cuts off and the LED charge indicator changes color when the battery reaches a full charge. This suggests that the charger stops supplying power. However... you should always monitor charging of batteries. The risk of fire is not simply from overcharging. I charge mine in the same room that I occupy, and when I am awake. When done charging, I unplug the charger.

    Mechanical disk brakes are usually entry-level and give you different feeling when braking, and effectiveness is not even close to the effectiveness of hydraulic brakes. I very much agree with Ned's opinion - the are pretty much a ''must''-upgrade.

    Well it’s easy to lock up the wheels with both types of brakes , aside from bike snobbery, the only advantage of hydraulic brakes is less pressure required on the levers. It’s obviously feels much nicer having hydraulic brakes…
