Just a word of warning. The bike you tested is prone to snapping and the reason is the brace at the top and bottom of the frame by the the hinge. On the top of your test bike the brace only goes from the seat post to about 3/4 length to the hinge and the same on the underside of the frame. They updated on later models by extending the brace to the hinge on top and the bottom making it stronger. THIS IS A DESIGN FLAW on early models. The same applies to early engine pro models too and EP2 pro I think.
Great honest review.
Same price for C-20 Pro with extra 19.2 Ah *36V battery. Much lighter and only missing rear suspension compared to Engine X.
Build quality is my concern. I ordered one and is due to be delivered today but I am in 2 minds to refuse delivery and take the hit on courier fees.
I think the Engine Pro is the best deal. for only 200 bucks more you get hydraulic brakes, hydraulic suspension fork, 8 gears Shimano Alto, leather handle bar grip, 16Ah LG battery for longer range, anti puncture tires, color display, and not sure if also has regen power when braking. The engine is also 1000w peak and 55 Nm tork. All in all, much better than the Engine X. Coud you review the Engine Pro?
What is the maximum speed? Can it be unlocked with the display screen?
Very good review! I have been looking at this bike as a replacement for car since i only have 6km each day. But my only concern is my height. Can i ask how tall you are and how good you feel riding in that height? Im 195cm so i have a feeling im too tall for a bike like this. Ty.
How many years does it last?
Hey im sorry but im going with the fiido m1 bike mike
Hey what rear suspension does it have. Trying to upgrade mine
I LOVE your reviews! Excellent work! 👏👏👏👏👏👏🎉
I tried to read and understand the german website but couldn't because of the bad google translation.
As mentioned on another of your videos. I had an Engwe EP-2. The frame is made from an alloy and is not strong. When you fold the bike, all the weight of the front end is on the back end, just behind the hinge. The soft alloy is not strong enough to support that weight. After riding the bike almost every day, for 2.5 years, mine snapped. These bikes are a death trap waiting to happen. When I contacted Engwe, they apologised, and asked me if I wanted to buy another bike. They claimed they have strengthened their testing, but I haven't seen any specs on the alloy used.
the lack of apps and stuff is not a drawback, it's a good thing.
So it does have a twist throttle and can be unlocked i seen a video saying it hasn't got a throttle and it's pedal assist only??? Very confusing
Just out of curiosity, anyone tell me does my 48v battery shipped with Engine X unique to my key only?
Can you bye a second battery
The motor is the same as the ep-2, just limited to 25km per hour..
Is the bike dangerous to have?
Can you give discount codes for Engwe bikes?
