This isn't the true canonical ending and I'll explain why. At the end of the scene, Chengling tells his students that the Combined Six Cultivation method requires one person to become a furnace for the other, but what the actor actually says is that the method requires two people whose hearts are connected and have fallen in love so deeply that instead of one person sacrificing himself for the other, they will both become immortals. Considering that Chengling grew up seeing Zhou Zishu and Wen Kexing's undying love and devotion for one another, he knows they're still alive.

Remember they said in the drama that if one becomes immortal one can not leave the snowy mountains. That is why they made the special 7 minute episode. It is the continuation of the endinbg showing them living together in the armory as immortals

I finally understand the ending. Both SURVIVED. Zhou learnt the Combined Six Cultivation Power through Wen which should have costed Wen's his life, BUT Ye Bai yi TRANSFERRED the Combined Six Cultivation Power to Wen before they all head to the armory!! No wonder Ye said they are all idiots and nobody would die when he's alive, 'no one could die before me'. Meanwhile, Ye's ready to pass on to join his friend Qing, that's why he said '...have struggled for all these years, turn out it's all for today. It's hard to go back to the time of youth, but there are always people in youth'(Ye could never go back to his time of youth when his friend Qing was still alive, but he could pass on this wish to the people in youth) - You are welcome.

2024年最开心的一件事就是看了龚俊演的狐妖小红娘，然后跑来油管看山河令，相见恨晚但不晚，从此绿水青山，清风明月，来日方长。有些人就是你生命中的光，在你最无助的时候来照亮你，给你温暖和光明。一个伟大的演员不在乎是否有出众的外表，但直击心灵的表演加上这无双的美貌真的多一分浪费少一分可惜。❤❤❤❤

Ye Baiyi is the real MVP of this whole show and he's not so different from Zhou Zishu or Wen Kexing when you think about it because in the end, he's chosen to follow Rong Changqing, the man he's loved all his life, by giving up his own immortality.

It's been too long, everyone he knew already past away.from the moment he left the mountain he already decided what he gonna do. just if there is a next life time, he don't want to meet Rong Changqing again. Notice when they were in the armory, Ah-Xu kept looking for food; he wanted Lao Wen to survive in the Armory if he was not cured and die, while Lao Wen focused on looking for the Combined Six Cultivation Power book cause he wanted Ah-Xu to live. Now that shows they love each other till death due them part.

I came here after watching untamed and and I am here to see if it has happy ending but it seems it has not😕.. I was satisfied with the ending of untamed atleast it wasn't heartbroken but open ended. I would rather accept open-ish ending than sad/heartbroken.

Hey Malissa, when you get to be 10 years old you will applaud and stop crying: WTF you are so afraid of human, emotional intensity, achieved in the physical and emotional souls: Read Buber and you will be healthy, not some guilt-laden adolescent.

I have watched this episode 3 times, but still can’t stop crying when Lao Wen gaze at A Xu while his hair turns to grey..... and when A Xu opens his eyes expecting to live with his soulmate but then realized Lao Wen has sacrificed himself for him...... so heart breaking....

A Xu would rather live with the ghost than go down and die with the living. Not my idea of a romantic ending. Sounds more like retribution for all the evil they both did. LW knew he was doing that to AX what kind of love is that? I hope I never know. Thank you for the picture of the two of them eating pop sickles happily ever after.

Yup, his transformation is because he dared to love, and play the price. Why the viewing public must assume that the relationship is unconsummated lacks adult maturity, fixated in a pre-adolescent phase of psychosexual development. Yes, maturity has its price but also rewards. Buber explains the 'I-Thou' ideal is difficult to achieve and maintain, but believe me it is worth all the effort. If these two are actually lovers its would provide the motivation to do this series BECAUSE they are in love and consummated their bond/

After rewatching this, I can see why Wen Kexing didn't tell Zhou Zishu about his plan to sacrifice his life for him. For starters, he doesn't believe he's worthy of Zhou Zishu's love in the first place and was even afraid of losing him once Zhou Zishu found out the truth about his identity as a criminal warlord. His traumatic past has rooted itself so deeply into his core that it shattered his self-esteem to the point where he thinks Zhou Zishu's life is infinitely worth more than his so when given the option, he will always choose death even if it kills Zhou Zishu's soul in the process because he absolutely cannot survive the pain of losing the only light he's ever had in his life.

And not just that. Wen Kexing lost everyone he cared about. He lived for his revenge and than his Soulmate. Revenge is over and if he would be the one surviving than his Soulmate dies. So he would have no reason to live on that's why he asked Zhou Zishu to let him be the one to die.

这个剧最成功的就是找对了演员，两个男主又帅又会演，形象和角色高度契合，把一个原本只是尚可的剧情演成经典。加上其他武打，台词，服化，和其他演绎角色还不错的整体制作，难怪得到大热度。龚瀚角色演绎很不错，而张哲瀚则更强，个人魅力爆表。

Finished this amazing series on 10th February. What a cast, what a work, what a dedication and loyal adaptation to its original work. Thank you Gongjun, Thank you Zhehan, thanks to the whole cast and crew, Priest and everyone for adapting this beauty and bringing justice to it and emphasizing the real relationship between WenZhou. Antes de enloquecer con el final tomen el comentario de abajo para despejar las dudas, honestamente si es doloroso el final, el sacrifico de Wen Ke Xing es inmenso, admirable creo que todos nos rompimos con la mirada de Ah Xu viendo a su alma gemela con el cabello blanco, la expresion en su rostro fue de absoluto dolor, la impresion de lo que hizo Wen Ke Xing por él no tiene precio. Pero me consuela saber que al final no es tan triste porque ellos siempre quisieron estar juntos, para vivir o morir. Y muy clave las palabras de Wen Ke Xing, mientras tengan vida aun hay solucion y se quedaron juntos dentro la montaña para cuidarse el uno al otro. Quiero volver a destacar el sacrifico de Wen Ke Xing el acto de amor en toda su expresion, la hermandad, la amistad mas incodicional y desinteresada, para Zhou Zi Shu perder sus artes marciales era peor que la muerte y entonces We Ke Xing se sacrifico como el caldero humano entre los dos, él seria el quedaria incapacitado, pero ya no estaba solo porque su alma gemela siempre estaria con él y de cualquier manera le ayudaria a encontrar una solucion, Wen Ke Xing no murio simplemente se quedo con su alma gemela en las montañas, no es el lugar, ni la villa, es la persona que esta a su lado. Quiero felicitar a todo el equipo detras de esta magnifica obra, excelente produccion y direccion, fabulosas interpretaciones por este capaz y talentoso elenco de actores, destacar tambien las increibles vistas y escenografias, las apotesoicas puestas en escena en cuanto al combate y batallas, reflejaron muy bien el arte marcial y tambien transmitieron hermosos mensajes de reflexion y los valores. Todo fue absolutamente maravilloso, mis aplausos para todos. Tambien quiero mencionar mi amor por estos personajes, Wen Ke Xing y Zhou Zi Shu, me transportaron a otra dimension y vivi con ellos cada experiencia, el dolor, la alegria, el sacrifico, el perdon y sobre todo el amor. Ahora me pondre a continuar con el libro que tambien me ha enganchado. Gracias a YOUKU por permitirnos disfrutar de esta obra al fandom internacional, seguiremos apoyandolos. PSDT. Vayan a buscar el pequeño extra despues del final, es muy lindo y les da un idea de lo que pasa despues.

Don't want to disappoint you but actually it's a bit imaginary. In our culture we prefer to express things in an inward way but not saying everything quite straight. As you could see during the whole drama they never say "love you" directly to each other, instead they use sentences from poetries to express their thoughts, so theoretically in the end they still won't say such words. It's more like just lips moving while breathing but no actual words coming out. We always love this kind of "foggy romance".

I don't think Youku should delete the drama because of the actions of some actors but please don't say like this. It's not simply "past is the past" or else we can all be forgiven because what we did are past anyway. If you do not know what happened in World War 2, that's fine. But he didn't harm anyone? Wow what a masterpiece, everything about this series was excellent... everything was beautiful, the costumes, all actors both male and female were all beautiful and handsome. The two leads were exceptional handsome even changing ghost was handsome... I even fall madly in love with wen kei xing that character was so versatile, he made me laugh a lot and Gong Jun did a marvellous job, I. Also love Zhou zhshu by zhang zhehan that was a lovely character he was focused and lead WKX to redemption. Am crazy about Ye Baiye his strengths and power was awesome... what a great story, my first time of watching BL movie, never could imagine I would fall in love with it. Thanks to everyone who has made this series a success... the director, producers, script writers and actors you all did a great job.

на протяжении всего просмотра у меня было неимоверное желание забрать себе парик Скорпиона. Нет! Его целиком было бы в самый раз, но и парика с этими чудесными косами тоже подошли. А у Вэнь Кэн Си... я и без того любовалась его нарядами, но 4 ханьфу (если не ошибаюсь в подсчетах) то изумрудно-зеленое поверх кроваво красного. Не смотря на то что я девушка и мне явно не по размеру, до безумия хочу себе такое ханьфу. И я так же как и Вы благодарна всему составу что помог появиться на свет такой прекрасной дораме как "Далекие странники".

acting skills, plot, script, everything is very well done. They are was able to show very well what true love is. I really liked this drama. I can't express my feelings in words. I cried tears of joy when I finally saw them alive

I swear to god, this is the most romantic non-romance drama I've ever watched. What makes it so great is, it's not cringy at all.

要說某部所謂熱播劇 轟轟烈烈的情愛，那山河令 無疑就是 小清新了，看了第一眼會讓人 眼睛為之一亮的那種，劇情的鋪陳 武打動作 取景 各方面都堪稱完美！

It was my bad I didn't watch this masterpiece earlier. It was an amazing drama. Although the ending making me so emotional but I really enjoyed this drama. I'm gonna miss them!!!😭

Hermoso drama/novela que volvería a verlo las veces que sean. Me encantó todo, desde la historia hasta el trabajo por retratarla fue muy grandioso. Tengo que resaltar sobre todo la profundidad en cómo mostraron sus sentimientos el uno por el otro durante toda la serie, sin la necesidad de algun contacto físico. En parte creo que fueron la líneas que aprevecharon de la literatura china para emberllezerla y otro mérito es a los actores que los expresaron de una manera magnífica. Sin duda, se lucieron y justifica tanto el porqué se convierta en una de la mejores series de su año. Y personalmente, una de las mejores series BL y romance en general que me he visto. Lloré muchas veces y, en especial, en los últimos capítulos. Pero si me pongo a recordar todo los pequeños momentos de felicidad que ambos vivieron a pesar de los problemas que se les avecinaban, esos momentos preciosos los llevo en mi corazón y, como dicen, la felicidad consta de pequeños momentos. De que sirve terminar ganando si has perdido tanto. Ellos disfrutaron lo que pudieron, cuidando del pequeño Chenliang y Xiang, en la villa Siji, de las copas de vino que compartiero charlando, etc. Son tantos los momentos de paz y felicidad que agradesco haberlos presenciado porque me lcontagiaron de esas emociones. Otro punto que tengo que resaltar es el desarrollo de cada personaje secundario. Sus historia fueron tan resaltantes como la original, era imposible no empatizar con ellos. En especial Cao y Xiang. Me partió el corazón su final pero siempre recordaré los días en que fueron felices. Y si no es en esta vida, se reencontrarán en la siguiente. Aunque el final de ellos me pareció abrupto y rápido. Pero según los comentarios, hay extras tanto eb la novela como en la serio que ahora mismo lo veré. Muchísimas gracias por que esta serie esté disponible en youtube y así pueda verlo. Volveré aquí la veces que sean a apreciar de esta estupenda serie ❤
