I love seeing how pissed Scorpion is at his so called father in this. Even when being given everything he'd ever wanted, to be officially recognized as his son, Scorpion still looks so conflicted because on the one hand he gets what he wanted, but on the other he now knows what kind of man Zhao Jing is and how he mistreats Scorpion, and he despises him nonetheless. (At least that's how I interpret his looks in this episode)

Wen Kexing really took the mortifying ordeal of being known to heart and opted not to tell Zhou Zishu about his revenge plot. Unfortunately for him, Zhou Zishu has fallen so deeply in love with him that he's now out there ripping nails out of his body and going super saiyan in the original cut just so he can join him in death. These men are two halves of a whole idiot and we love them for it.

In the scene where Wen Ke Xing and Zhou Zi Shu were falling together they seemed to be at peace with each other. Zi Shu smiled at Ke Xing with a look of understanding and deep affection in his eyes while Ke Xing appeared to be so calm and peaceful, knowing that there was one person in this world that understood and cared enough to die with him. I can imagine, in that moment, Ke Xing truly believed that every moment he spent with Zi Shu was worth it. Not one second was wasted between them. Even when Zi Shu was saved by Ye Bai Yi, Ke Xing still seemed to welcome his own fate because, even if it all ends, he knows what kind of heart Zi Shu has for him.

Because the words in Chinese do not sound as straightforward as the English subtitles. You can understand the soulmate part in Chinese as friendship and that works too so... The screenwriter has been extremely careful but yeah it's still a miracle.

There ain't no heterosexual explanation to this drama my guys... The WOH team really did a great job to be able to pass the censorship. Like its really obvious yet subtle enough. All those scenes of cutting each other's sleeves, WKX giving ZZS his hair pin also just WKX alone reciting all those love poems. I don't think I'll be able to move on from them too soon.

Why is no one talking about Ye baiyi and Rong Changqing's (Rong Xuan's father) relationship, in the novel Ye baiyi liked Rong Changqing but he never confessed to him, the reason he engraved his name on his sword is cuz he loved him a lot. Ye baiyi knows how it feels to loose your soulmate.

Well it was very vague even in the novel. But we all know they were in love and together with madam rong. I'd love to read their story even if it's a tragedy. A tragedy of swordsmith and a hero. That'd be a good story. The novel fleshed out three named swords by RCC but was never mentioned in the drama so sad

@@user-ue6qk6cc4g "save it " actually was translated pretty well from the original language, kind like saying "save your words"..... because here laowen shouted at Axu said he's been lying to everyone including Axu, by doing so he wished to stop Axu from joining him on the death ride he was about to attempt.... But Axu never had a moment of doubt about laowen🥺 , so basically he wanted to tell laowen " enough said..... I choose to join you against the whole world....you can't stop me....so shut up ...." Just go figure 😉😉😉

@Jessi V In the novel is Zhou Zishu shown to have anger or any reaction towards Cheng Ling.Or any regrets about having taken him as his disciple, since at that point of time Zhou Zishu didn't know about what had really happened.?

@@beena4091 It didn't happen the same way in the novel. They had all pretty much separated and met back up at the end due to circumstance of the 'Heroes' going after Ghost Valley (He didn't even have the key because he threw it away before the story even began!). There was really nothing quite so duplicitous in the novel. Chengming was able to finally fight and showed that he was a capable student that learned from BOTH of them! (boy was fighting DIRTY, as Wen Kexing taught him to survive not just defend himself)

I saw a comment that was saying how when zzs jumped down after wkx, wkx smiled bc he realized that zzs was his true soulmate and would die with him and risk his life protecting him until the end; then, when yby saves zzs, wkx closes his eyes in relief that zzs won’t actually die/he’ll still be alive and they’ll get to live their lives together 😞💕now I’m sad again they are literally my favorite couple from any show aaaaa

What makes this scene EVEN more beautiful is that zzs's "save it" is not the correct translation. What he actually said is " you are my person" as in you are the person born for me, the one who completes me, my lifelong partner, soulmate etc. ❤

WKX didn't consider him as a variable in his plan. Things would turn out differently if he told A-xu. WKX should stop keeping things from ZZS. He knows ZZS would die for him but I don't know why he underestimated what ZZS would feel if he "dies". But it's important for the progression of the plot.

Please repeat the viewing carefully, every line and shot in this drama is not useless, there are plenty of echoes before and after. And myself, I cried more and more frequently after I watched it for the third or fourth time to understand more of the meanings and hints.

You know I have to say this, I actually LOVE how Zhou Zi Shu jump down after Wen Ke Xing when he fell down the cliff, that was done so much better, in comparison to CQL (The Untamed) where Lan Zhan watched Wei Ying fell down the cliff and just watch him fall down without going after Wei Ying, because to me, canon Lan Zhan will definitely go after Wei Ying, and will do his best to save him, even if him putting his life at risk to do so. That's how much he loves Wei Ying, but in the live action, I never understood why Lan Zhan didn't follow after Wei Ying when he fell down the cliff like that, because (1) Canon Lan Zhan (in the novel) would and (2) No one is tying and holding him back.... And if you are going to say censorship doesn't allow it to happen in the Untamed, well in 'Word of Honour', this is what makes me love that scene better between the two characters, is that WOH took a bold move to have Zhou Zi Shu jump down and is willing to follow Wen Ke Xing to death, but in the end was saved by Ye Bai Yi. So I love how Zhou Zi Shu jump down after Wen Ke Xing, it shows me the extent he's willing to go to for Wen Ke Xing... Now I am comparing this is not to say that I dislike CQL (The Untamed), because I do love it, however, there are situations where Lan Zhan character felt OOC to me when compared to the novel, and that example was one of it, which is a con in the live action for me, sadly. One I don't understand on my end, and wish was done better for that part. But this is how I see it. Back to WOH, at first I was disappointed in Cheng Ling for not trusting in Wen Ke Xing.... but then, after I found out this was all an act, I forgave him LOL. But alas, I love the portrayal in the love Zhou Zi Shu has for Wen Ke Xing here

I have a deep bond to Untamed and I will ever had. Word of honor is a parallel universe, and comparison can be made only until a certain level, but not so mechanically as you do, perhaps. What I mean is, that at the point as Lan Zhan "watched" Wei Ying falling down (he desperately tried to prevent this... but he was not strong enough), you have perhaps to remember that Lan Zhan was battling and fighting within himself between all his world of martial arts ideology and teachings, and the terrifying contraditions Wei Ying were showing him every step of the way. He was deeply in love with him, he wanted surely to save, protect im, but a part of him was still struggling, not being so sure if all of what he learned and practiced till this point was not very shiny and glamour and righteous and perfect as he thought it was. He was in the middle of the path to an unconditional love for Wei Ying. On the contrary, here, at this point of the drama in WOH the two soulmate have gone through so many, many, many stuff and efforts, and pain and revelations... they are mature, they trust each other unconditionally (see for example the beautiful dialogue in Episode 31) ... they are one and only one ... that is why the same scene and occasion can be this different. My opinion....

One, canon Novel Lan Zhan will NEVER just stood there and watch Wei Ying fall down, he will jump right after him if that's the case.. because at that time he's already in love with Wei Ying (if you're looking at the actual characters in the novel) in the novel Lan Zhan wasn't at the scene when Wei Ying died in his first life. 2) it is very ooc of Lan Zhan to not do anything after Wei Ying fell between the time after he(Wei Ying) "died" by falling down the cliff at Nightless city because he wasn't even held back, his uncle wasn't even there, even if his uncle was, he wouldn't let that stopped him, because in the novel, Lan Zhan will cross sword with both his uncle, his brother and his sect to protect Wei Ying, which in result earned him those discipline whips... why didn't Lan Zhan went down the cliff "right after" Wei Ying fell to search for his body??? Even Jiang Cheng went right away to search for it! Lan Zhan waited at least 1 year to search for it, mind you, Lan Zhan hasn't got those discipline whips at that time, so nothing was stopping him from going down that cliff to search for Wei Ying's body like Jiang Cheng did. I mean in the novel, which this live action was based on, Lan Zhan already got this discipline whips and when he found out that Wei Ying died, he dragged his body, despite being heavily bedridden to search for Wei Ying's body day and night to look for it... I am not asking the live action to canon them like the novel, to have a confession like the novel did, yes I blame censorship for those OOC moments but I can't ever like them because it's OOC like I said, all they have to do to avoid it was to NOT have Lan Zhan at the scene when Wei Ying died, just like in the novel, they could even have Lan Zhan fighting the other corpse to not go to Wei Ying in time, they could even have Lan Xichen holding Lan Zhan back, any of that will do, but the result is, yes, Lan Zhan did hold on to Wei Ying and tried to save him, but the moment when Wei Ying fell down the cliff and him just watching him falling down and not jump down after him, he could have jumped down after him, fly on his sword (like he's capable of in the novel) and take Wei Ying to safety, similar to the novel, but he just stood there which I didn't like. I can't help but compare the scene between CQL and WOH because without a doubt I love that scene in WOH better, heaps better than the Untamed, because they are parallel both Chinese Dramas, BL Adaptations and because of this comparison, it made me question not even censorship can excuse it because WOH was able to have that scene done in a better light, why can't CQL?? Lastly, canon Lan Zhan, after Wei Ying comes back have expressed his deepest fears on more than one occasion that he's afraid Wei Ying will leave him one day, he is afraid of that. It is never on his mind to leave Wei Ying side, to have Wei Ying leave him, if he does, he will go find him again. He even showed that he will always stay by Wei Ying side after he's back, to silently protect him, and he is afraid Wei Ying will die/leave him again, I found that endearing so he will NEVER express the idea of walking separate paths in the end. The sad thing is CQL Wei Ying by that time in the end didn't plan to walk separate paths from Lan Zhan, he was planning where they will be travelling to next, but Lan Zhan express that decision to Wei Ying, and you can tell how sad and hurt CQL Wei Ying was since he never expected that... but he accepted that in the end to not make it hard for Lan Zhan. My question is, they both share the same ideals in protecting the weak etc, their wish was the same on the lantern, why can't they do it together. I am not asking them to confess in the live action but can they not be physically together?? Not in a romantic sense but in a soulmate sense? I know ultimately this is the censorship fault but again, I can't ignore it some of these ooc moments and I have to admit that I love WOH better when looking as at the comparisons on which is more bolder in that comparison. I love BOTH CQL AND WOH, however, I will give credit where credit is due. I watched CQL more than 7 times, so I know what happened, but it just made me question, why it happened like that, just a little fix can have it done not in a ooc sense, not even having a soft place for it in my heart can make me ignore these ooc moments that I can't agree with when compared to the actual characters in the novel, so in comparison to the novel, drama CQL Lan Zhan IS OOC and really didn't do the novel justice. Anyone who understand the characters in the novel will also think Lan Zhan was OOC in those CQL moments. Lan Zhan will never show me those moments in the novel that I said was OOC in the live action because he loves Wei Ying too much when compared to the live action, to just show me those ooc moments. SADLY for me, because of these ooc moments I really can only take CQL as an AU universe. Which I did. Some I love the scenes in CQL better but on the most part, it's definitely novel > CQL. I appreciate your opinion, even when we don't really feel the same here because for me I can only take CQL as an Alternate universe. I can't really say I like those OOC moments because I see it differently which made me question a lot of things about those moments I don't like in the live action (for said), just doing it a little differently can avoid it imo.

I mean drama adaptation really changed Lan Wang ji's sentiments but I still am pretty sure that Lan Wang ji would have never died for Wei Ying like he was in love but not madly in love if u really notice that after Wei Wu Xian passed away only then he started feeling more love for him which increased as the time went by while Wei Wu Xian never had feelings for Lan Wang ji to begin with ( even if he had he didn't realize em in his previous life) while in Zhou Zi Shu and wen ke xing's case they both had mutual feelings for each other so it really makes sense while they won't hesitate giving their lives up for one another plus Wang ji was fighting an internal battle that either he should support a demonic cultivator or not as he is someone who always grew up upright it was actually very hard for him to overcome the tornado with in him.And until he. Could ,Wei Wu Xian passed away.While Zhou Zi shu and wen ke Xing both are not upright at all and are deep into evil shit so they pretty much on the same boat plus both of em have nothing to lose while there was a huge societal burden on Lan Wang ji

@@sakinazehra7533 I'm not going to speak up for those CQL Lan Zhan OOC moments. All I asked is if the script writers did things differently and not make CQL Lan Zhan OOC then that is all I asked for... After watching WOH it really made me question, why can't CQL do things differently to not make Lan Zhan OOC on those 3 occasions I counted. Yes I blame censorship, but still, I don't like it for all said when looking at the comparisons between these two BL Adaptations...

@@kikotsukino1629 that doesn't make sense tho.. for you is jumping after the person you love is only way to show sincerity of love or what? There are different kind of people in this world and wear different emotions and way to deal with them you can't expect every other person to jump like he did some might live coz they would believe that's what their soulmate would want.. Ah-xu jumped of the clip for wen and lan zhan might have done the same for Wei Ying, but I have watched the drama and if lan zhan really did jump after wuxian I don't think I would have liked it coz here the case is different and so are the characters in untamed the circumstances were very different and so was the relationship between the two leads.. not to mention every time both met they parted after fights and Wei Ying even thought lan zhan opposes him on the path he choose while when I saw the drama I thought it was just worry that Wei Ying would get swallowed in dark world of demonic cultivation.. there were lots of misunderstandings between them, while here both ah-xu and wen are on mutual and understanding terms so it's obvious that the scenes aren't going to match, how lan zhan handled the situation is how it has to be to go with the story and same is here with ah-xu they are different characters

This show taught me that a daughter is always more loyal than son. Cheng Jing broke my heart.
