I get Su Rongqing is trying to prevent his family from falling but I have feeling his plan with backfire. I have feeling his family isn't as completely innocent as he would like to think. Honestly, it will serve him right if his devilish plans back fires. I gotta say this is the first time I can't stand a second male lead. I'm guilty of skipping his scenes cuz his face is so irritating. I guess he's doing his job as an actor. Anyways, Su Rongqing thinks he understand Rong but in reality he does not. He's not even listening to her. He keeps saying Pei isn't meant for her but Pei is 100% meant for her. He takes the time to understand and see what she wants before she realize what she really wants. Pei listen to Rong with open ears and without judgement. Su Rongqing won't get what he wants and his ignorance will be his downfall

from the beginning Su is with Noble House. The Family victory for him is above the sky. Inspection dept is opposite from Noble. Power belongs to Lirong, means for support LiChuan. Su will replace Lichuan with Concubine Rou's son, any obstacle in Su's mind must be destroyed. Included make Pei down to be assistant/staff and then assasin Pei n LiChuan in the next eps

In the first timeline, Su Rongqing's family stays neutral. Li Chuan became emperor. his beloved dies and he changed. Somewhere the Su family was framed for treason. Something about colluding with the Shanguan Ya empress to make her son crown prince, so Li Chuan killed Su family and castrated Su Rongqing. The Su family minded their own business and was met with bad shit. So 2nd timeline, Su Rongqing like pei and Li rong, has his future memories will make sure Li Chuan will not become Emperor. So all the scheming he does now is to go against Li Rong who's a full supporter of Li Chuan. Dude is just preventing his family from demise. I DON'T BLAME HIM.

Sorry i corrected a little. It was not framing 😅 Aya"s son is SRH's son. They had affair​. SRH who kilked QinZ to make tneir son to be crown ptince. They rebel. And SRQ support SRH to rebelThree of sins they did. Plus SRQ let Lirong died, he knew Lirong hot poioson n he should can detoxify her but not. He let Lirong lived for awhile with antidite untill LiChuan dead. So their rebel succedd in the 1st timeline. 😅 If you dont blame him???? It is ok Just enjoy the drama but so sorry i wll slap harder to SRQ like LiMing slapped concubine Rou @@Peechiness

To me it feels like what SRQ is doing is he trying to destroy everyone except himself. Does he truly think LR will be happy? There must be a reason why his family was killed, instead of finding out the truth he resorts to manipulate and plot for others downfall.

Su Rong Qing already knows who killed his family. It was Li Chuan after he became king. The queen and Su Rong Qing's brother killed Qin Zhen Zhen, then the king killed most of queen's and Su family in revenge. So in this life, Su Rong Qing tries to stop Li Chuan being king to prevent him having the power to hurt his family. The princess supports her brother to be king , so their actions clash. Su Rong Qing wants to protect the princess up until the point it doesn't counter his plans. Supporting Royal Lady Rou means supporting the other only age appropriate prince to be king. The princess' office ultimately is power to support her crown prince brother, a bad thing for his plans. That's probably why he offers the office to Royal Lady Rou. He is but collecting power for his side because the game of politics is always who has more power.

The problem didn't lie with who became the emperor, it was his brother. so he should deal with his brother and prevent his brother from making the mistake that got his family killed. Nothing wrong with trying to save your family, he is going about it the wrong way. Power was what got his family killed in the first place, why follow the same tread that got your family killed. Rong and Chuan battle lies within the royal family. They're the ones who need the power to survive. His family don't need power to survive, they should just stay neutral neutral out of everyone's business. Regardless, his family was respected because they didn't represent anyone. Making enemies is what gets you killed. Remaining neutral keeps you safe. He can't protect the princess if his plans goes against everything she stands for. He wants to cut her wings and keep her in submission, when she is a dominant powerful woman. Her brother is the rightful person to be crown prince. If he takes away her brother position, that will endanger both her and Chuan, cause Lady Rou would do what is necessary to keep her son in power. What he is doing is not protecting his family but putting them in danger. From what I gather, his family fault lies with Ya and his brother. But Ya is no longer in position for the crown princess. This means that his family is no longer related to the matter. He's only making himself the villain of the story. His family life isn't in danger. It's not like Chuan became king and executed his family right away. They had to be fault with his family. He should have focus on his family, rather than aligning with the bad people

@@nita4688 very much agree. Su Rong Qing knows the reason of his family's downfall - knows yet doesn't understand. He is blinded by the fact that his brother's actions were the true fuse that blew up his family. If anything, Su Rong Qing should be making sure Ya has nothing to do with the Su family. I understand Su Rong Qing's insistence on keeping Li Chuan from the throne though. Li Chuan is a weak person. A weak person given power will always have a high chance of acting out, even if there was no Qin Zhen Zhen. This showed when he remained suspicious of the princess just because she tried to save Su Rong Qing. Also, if I'm not mistaken, Li Chuan was the one who gave orders for the princess' death, otherwise the drama wouldn't be hinting there is more to the mystery of princess' death. Li Chuan may be good for the princess when he is in a good mood but when he acts out, he is her worst enemy. Li Chuan is unreliable because of his weakness. It doesn't make the other prince a better choice, but he is a more controllable choice. I imagine Su Rong Qing supports the other political side because he believes he can control Royal Lady Rou and the young prince because he is a scion of the oldest of the Great Families. He wants to be the power behind the throne. Technically a better position than trying to be the power behind Li Chuan because that's never going to happen. Cao Cao from Chinese history, the Fujiwara clan from Japanese history all had the same idea and they were successful. Su Rong Qing is unsuccessful because he is a 2nd male lead in a fictional drama. The princess can never let go of her baby brother yet her baby brother seems at times to want to remain a baby. I don't think his conflicts or reasons matched his actions in his last life. I think Su Rong Qing wants to protect the princess from her own brother if anything. Even if he has to become the power behind the throne to control and assure that fate.

@@midnightseahorse I can agree with you, but that has to depend on whether Chuan was guilty of killing his sister. He was suspicious of her until she died. But that was because she had alot of power and she was close to SRQ, as well as siding with the empress. Pei was also Chuan right hand man, with his understanding of people, I think he would have considered that a possibility but it didn't appear so. Also the princess was poisoned over time, depending on the duration, I don't think her brother would use that means. Killing her secretly would be too much trouble, she being dead is of no use to him. Chuan may appear weak but I don't thinj he is. He is the crown prince but his father supresses him alot. Any move he make is closely watch and his position is not secured. But he isn't a scheming person who would go to dirty means just to have the throne. Lady Rou and her children are most likely the ones who would ruin others to get what they want. His sister has been his only support since neither of his parents shows genuine care for him. Chuan is good at martial arts but his father doesn't know that. He has to hide alot about himself cause standing out might cause his father to supress him even more. I don't blame Chuan for lashing out because of Zhen zhen death. He had to supress alot of his feelings, marrying someone he doesn't love as his main wife. The only thing he genuinely wanted was to be with Zhenzhen, yet she got killed unjustly. At that point he doesn't have much to look forward to. Being emperor for him meant being able to make his own decisons and protect what is his. Also, he wanted to make Zhenzhen son the crown prince, but Li Rong was against it and she openly supported Ya son to be the crown prince. I think that was the only feud the siblings actual had. Back then SRQ was like Rong adviser and they worked togethet to ensure that Ya son was crown prince. She also didn't like Zhenzhen because of Pei. Their was alot going on. I don't think there was anything wrong with Chuan making the woman he loved son inherit his throne. Technically, Ya son wasn't even his and he probably would know best the relationship he had with Ya. Rong made bad decisons in her past life. This is also why SRQ thinks he ia doing her good. He spent over a decade at her side, basically being her advisor, he also knows that they had feelins for each other, so he believes he knows her best. But that isn't exactly true. Rong had loved Pei in the early days of their marriage, but because she thought Pei loved Zhenzhen, she choose to distance their relationship. He also thought that she loved SRQ. They basically wasted 20 yrs of marriage not understanding each other. SRQ thinks he's doing what is right, when technically siding with the enemy, going against their hardwork, trying to steal their position, ruining their family inheritance is not the way to go about protecting your beloved. Its best he just agreed she's his enemy at this point.

I hate the villain in this drama more than the double 😂😂jiang Li ex-husband is better than Su Rongqing.

I hope you realize that Su Rongqing has 20 years memory just like the FL and ML? I don't know if you remember from the first timeline he and his family were neutral. Li Rong's brother became king and even she admitted that after his consort Qin died he became diff, ruthless just like father pitting against the noble families. Shanguan ya in the firs timeline was empress and she tried to ally with Su Rongqing's family. Li Chuan killed off Su Rongqing's entire family under guise for treason so it would weaken the support for Shanguan Ya and her son. Su Rongqing was castrated bc of the princess begged for his mercy. Now in the 2nd time line do you really think he'd let Li Chuan rule? All the dude wanted was to save his family that was innocent from a future Emperor who would do anything to dismantle the noble power aka his sister including killing off an entire innocent family? He loves the princess but he's not letting the brother become emperor for GOOD REASON. The arrogant princess is making sure her brother becomes emperor. Su Rongqing is proactive this time, but he is NO WHERE near Jiang Li's ex husband. lets be real LOL. Even the female lead is changing the 2nd time around from first time mistake by also weakening the noble house. The prob is Su Rongqing doesnt know it's her plan. He just doesnt want the brother king.

That's because in the future he is well aware that Li Chuan, Li Rong's brother will turn evil. It was actually Li Chuan that poisoned Li Rong and not Su Rongqing. Circumstances around him only made him try to protect himself and his family. The only thing that makes me not like him is that if he were to choose between his family and what's right, he would definitely choose his family and defend them even if they made the wrong choices. He also looks down upon those that are commoners who built up their careers. He supports those that have Royal titles.

In the 2nd timeline, Su is the main traitor n his familly will be his victim. Disaster comes cause of their/his fault. N Su just wanted to blame someone else. Dont throw the rock while hiding the hand, he is true manipulative. In the 1st life, everyone was msitake n in the 2nd life, ev'one who mentioned at 1st life are peace n wanna making better world except him, making worse. He is kind of person who doesnt change with the 2nd chance

@@angelinabluecount3842 I see. In a way, Li Rong did manage to influence her brother, Li Chuan to change but Su Rongqing was so set in revenge due to what had happened in his previous life. I had heard from a vlogger that his brother did give up his throne to his sister in order to be with the woman he loved. Not sure if the film changed some situations that happened in the novel. Wish there was someone who could make comparisons with the novel and the film.

Yes. It is a happy ending. I've heard from many vloggers that both main characters are alive and ended up together which is why I didn't wait for the last episode to ensure that they were. 😁😁😁

the rating novel was so low cause in the end after su rongqing did the ml and fl not kill him and let si rongqing to escape cause fl feeling 😅😂
