Story: #FabulousBeasts
"Fabulous Beasts" tells the story of Pixiu, a fabulous beast named Pipi, and its experience in the mortal world. To avoid being hunted by humans, Pipi runs to hide in Deer Shop that is opened by his friend, four-beasts in-one Si Buxiang, for helping mythical beasts. There, Pipi meets other mythical beasts who are different in personality and come from different places, and starts to live a relaxed life away from humans.

The first two seasons used to be free to watch, but got changed into members only. Thankfully season 3 is free to watch for now as it comes out, though I dunno if that'll remain the case forever. Only way to watch on KZread is to join as a member but... Well, it's also on Nyaa lmao

I do wonder if Pipi (and another related character) has parallels to the komainu/shisa in Japanese folklore. Very different legends though. And having not read the manhua, I am very concerned about the latest addition to the story in the manhua, implying a huge tragedy is either being revealed as a backstory, or is happening to the cast as of now
