Theyre all korean right? They speak this good in english just by learning in school? Wow they must be an excellant student then. I mean i know everyone learn english in school but i rarely see korean idols can speak THIS good in english without any history of them studying abroad or studying in intl school. And they are still rookies on top of that. Like they havent had an opportunity to go abroad to promote themselves and so on but their english is already good like this. Im impressed.

Korean school doesn't really help you with learning how to speak English. It's mostly just binge learning grammar and vocab for the exams. There are numerous videos where Korean highschool students or college students completely destroy a native English speaker in a grammar exam but then can't speak it at all when the native tries to start a conversation. Unfortunately that's how awful the korean school system is in that regard. I'm pretty sure Idols get language lessons during their training period but even with the lessons especially Jiyoon is really good for a Korean who hasn't studied abroad.

@@Nisced That happens in Indonesia too, It's universal and very common that foreign school systems are flawed in that regard. It's depressing because that's exactly what happens, mostly focusing on grammar/vocab but no speaking experience whatsoever.

they're not all fully fluent, but they're fluent enough that they can communicate with international fans which is a big advantage for a freshly debuted rookie group :D
