Mother tongue would be much better cause all Indians are not hindi speakers.

Exactly Getting a job not only needs great English speaking but also needs patience, hardworking, dedication, anger management, and many more. So if a person doesn't know English then he can be a better speaker after years passing by communicating but attitude and behaviour can never be generated it should be in blood.....
