As an Italian I have listened to Damso for a while now and I'm truly convinced that he is not only one of the best rappers in Europe. He is one of the best in the whole world. I remember that the first time that I heard Lythopedion reading the lyrics I was shocked. Not only he jumps from one flow to the other in a matter of seconds but he is able to rap about every topic in a captivating way.

the sign at the end means "vie" which means life, so your right ! When people do it they often refer to damso cause Damso says "vie" a lot and he does this sign. His brands has it on the clothes too. Great video as usual brother

This whole album « Ipséité » is filled with dope tunes, you should really listen to it at least once if you enjoy french rap

For the clip, he has been inspired a lot by the famous book "Ubik" from Phillip K. Dick

The hand sign is actually a representation of the letter "V" witch is the firstnlettre of the word "vie" (that means "life") and the word and the letter have literally the exact same prononciation

He talks about his life and adds a story behind it for the music, at one point he was homeless in life, he got scammed when he went back to Congo for Uni, had to sell drugs, his friends ditched him when he needed help/a house, he mentions in another song in 2008 at Montgomery metro station in Brussels he got into shit and his friend ditched him, he's also pushed his first girlfriend into suicide without knowing the impact of his words as a teen, he mentions it in Amnesie, he used to record songs in train stations etc and upload on youtube and in 2014 Booba noticed him and introduced him to the world, signed a contract to make 3 albums, made 3 albums and didn't want to stay and do his own stuff, Booba didn't like that and as usual Booba starts trash talking to everyone, in December 2019 Damso's mum was in the coma, Booba went as low as to mocking that and making remarks.
