Same here and I’m not even Korean. I honestly didn’t like kimchi when I first tasted it but because there’s still many left I just can’t waste it so after a couple of days I give it another chance and I’m surprised that I kinda liked it and from that day I’m always craving kimchi. I think it just takes time to like it 🤷‍♀️

I'm Romanian, grew up in Canada. Love kimchi. lol (Eastern Europe uses pickled cabbage to make pork cabbage rolls, so kimchi isnt really that foreign tasting, its just spicy)

What Josh and Oliie has done to make Korean food and culture to be so highly lauded and wanted especially in the West, cannot be denied. If anyone dares to look down on their work and dismiss them just because of some mistakes done in the past which were never intended to be malicious, those haters need to feel ashamed. I'm so glad Ollie and Josh are respectable and excellent men who pushed through, amidst the harsh, undeserved criticisms on them and even the people that they loved. Their recent humble but stronger comeback has proven that this YT platform they've made their home was truly made for such excellent creators as they are. I'm not even Korean but looking at everyone's reaction I'm just so proud of Josh, Olly and the team for putting such high-quality effort into introducing Korean food (and Korea in general) to everyone. Food is the masterpiece of every country, while most people don't even think about trying different culture food, you guys have been offering properly prepared food and they fall in love every time! English food well ... is English food. It saddens me that people who don't try new foods out of laziness or ignorance! I've cried 삼겹살 but I'm not sure I've tried the beef equivalents! But I will tomorrow!

스타일리쉬Stylish Wow that’s so incredibly kind of you and hopefully one day I can take you up on it. If you ever find yourself in little old New Zealand one day, I’ll try and return the favour 😅 I’ve developed such a huge fascination and appreciation for South Korea so much this year, especially during quarantine. Beforehand, my knowledge of Korea was limited to just my practice in Taekwondo (so I know how to count in Korean). Your culture, history and strong sense of identity is truly awe inspiring and just through my recent discovery of KoreanEnglishmen has my interest in Korea grown exponentially. Also I recently tried proper Korean BBQ for the first time yesterday, and I can say, hand on heart, that the men’s reactions to the food in this video is absolutely accurate.

As a half korean I’ve been to korea to see my family and every time I go back home to france I miss korean bbq the most because you just cannot find this kind of meat in France and it will most likely be pricey because of exportation and the quality of the meat . I love your videos and I’m happy your showing Korea’s delicious food to the world :) !!

Same. But I have adapted my BBQ by looking for types of meat that are special here in Europe: for example the Black Iberian Pig. The Presa cut is heavily marbled and perfect for Korean BBQ. It's juicy and is void of the typical piggy smell. If I want to switch it up a bit, I sometimes buy Wagyu from a local restaurant specializing in premium beef.

외국인들에게 가위가 스테인리스로 만든 주방용, 조리용 가위임을 설명해주시면 더 좋을 것 같아요~^^

feels like we need another episode where you guys take them all to like a proper Korean bbq restaurant, and let them experience the whole adventure there... it's so much fun watching them enjoying the food

@@delta8087 they do have Kbbq resturants in the UK. not the exact real deal, but damn close id assume. cant say for sure cuz im not from the UK, but judging from what we got in the States, itll be pretty similar except for the pricing.

Yeah except they shouldn't. Even with Papago, Korean-English machine translation can be miserable and often leads to all sorts of misunderstandings and errors.

전 여기 미국에서 가끔 현지 친구들과 삼겹살, 소주 파티를 합니다. 처음엔 쌈을 싸서 먹는것에 약간 거부감을 일으켰지만 지금은 혹시라도 제가 김치를 안구워주면 난리가 납니다. 여긴 소주가 한병에 7불 정도로 비싸지만 본인들이 알아서 사옵니다. 얼마전에는 소맥을 타줬더니 아주 난리가 나더군요. 물론 코로나 이전에요. 지금은 자기 가족들과 알아서 해먹습니다. 단지 막걸리 구하기가 힘들고 비싸다고 투덜대죠.

I took my 50 year old neighbor and his wife, 45, to a Korean BBQ restaurant for the first time this March. When the bulgogi and the thin brisket came, they were both so happy and excited. For Mother’s Day this year, they went to the same restaurant with their kids and their kids also loved it. It’s so fun to introduce people to good food and culture sometimes. Hit or miss, at least they experienced it. 😂

The night we graduated our program all went to a Korean bbq and spend 6 hours eating, drinking soju and talking about plans for the future. 15 years ago and still stands as the best night of my life

보는 내가 너무 침고인다...ㅜㅜ 구우면서 바로 먹으니 얼마나 맛있겠어...

와 저렇게 다 준비해가는게 엄청난 일이었을텐데 대단하세요. 음식소개 차원을 넘어 change perspective란 코멘트 들었을때 이 채널이 얼마나 큰일을 하고 있다는걸 느끼네요.

난 개인적으로 영국남자가 해외에 한식 문화를 알리는데 엄청 큰 공헌을 했다고 봅니다.

와..진짜 소고기편들은 다들 너무 반응이 너무 좋아서 자랑스럽기도하고~ 아아~영국남자님들 진짜 존경합니다.!

They kept on using chopsticks...I know that it isn't so easy to use them for people who have never used them and they could have asked for forks. I can see that they have respect for the chopstick culture!

Josh, Ollie, Gabi and the whole fam: I've been re-watching your old videos and just wanna say that despite the issues you faced the last few months, all I hope is that you are all healthy, and coping well. I have been to Korea and the BBQ/meat was like a religious experience - so it's not that English food is that bad, but K-BBQ is that good.

아니근데 축구하시는분들이 왤케 입담들이 좋나요ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ 마치 너무 생동감 넘치는 인터뷰들을 모아놓은것같아요. 기획과 연출 다 너무 좋네요!

음식소개해준다고 대충 비스무리하게 해주실수도 있는데 제가 보기에도 제대로 정성들여 하시드라구요 항상 감동입니다!!!! 본받고 싶고 감사하기도 하고 ♡

이분들이 전에도 젓가락 사용해보신 적 있는지 없는지 모르겠지만 다들 젓가락으로 드시는 게 참 신기해ㅎㅎ 어설프게도 짧게 잡지만 열심히 젓가락으로ㅎㅎ 쌈도 중간에 베어물어서 내용물 반만 먹거나 흘러나오거나 하지 않고 한입에 드시는 거 보니 너무 좋다ㅋㅋ

This is making me so hungry! I wish more of this type of eating experience was prevalent in the US. Being able to sit around a table and talk to people and cook healthy food. I think it's great that you are sharing things like this with people who may not ever have the experience.

@@aduraedosa I agree, but we are in a small farming town in the US and it's not prevalent here. I grew up in a military family and miss the experiences of trying new foods and cultures. I have looked recently and about 2 hours away there is an Asian market,so I am making plans 😁
