Yep, saw that match too, Spanish girls were a well-oiled machine. England should try to be on the scoreboard first, and then try to ride that momentum by never taking their foot off the gas. If Spain gets momentum as they did against France, it will be difficult for England.

Looks like Poland's players have been fallen victim of the typical case of crappy conservative coach that many national teams have. Cannot believe that they played the park-bus and pounce tactic for most of the tournament when they had so much more in them. A pity they did not materialize their chances in the second half and that their GK left all her goal-saving abilities in the game against Spain.

In the last 2 years England are 22 - 2 - 1 . F 96 - A 11. The only game they have lost was 3-1 to Spain in the Semi Finals. Since Nov 2023 they are 13 - 0 - 0 GF 49 GA 3. Does not mean they will beat Spain. But it shows they can win and score lots of goals while doing so. If they put pressure on Spain and dont let them pass it around , they have a chance.

Of course they have a chance, this is the most talented u17 England team I have seen, though I am not sure bringing stats up against Spain is the way to go, you know considering they have been in 13/15 semis and 11/15 finals in the u17 euros, won it 4 times and also won the last 2 u17 WCs... you know, gravy.

And differently to what many other Spaniards around these channels say, I do think that the result of the final is not a foregone conclusion by any stretch. Now, if I were an English fan I would be concerned about the lack of stamina/control of the game shown against France and Poland in the second halfs

@@aletapequena I never think ' we are going to win' . Its always , we've done very well , we've got this far ( a final ) and up against the best in Europe. We've won the last 13 on the trot. If we lose , its not too bad, they are young, its good experience , and the future looks very good. As long as they play well , and dont give up , that counts. I'm following the u 19 and u 23 England girls, and they are both doing well. They all play for the love of the game , not some multi millionaire rolling around like he has just been shot.

@@richard6440 I think that is the right approach. It is always nice to win but it is more important to nurture the talent. I think England with Lola Brown, Halbert, Vera Jones, Parkinson, the GK whose name I cant remember now, Jane Obowoudou, Parkinson... have plenty of players with very bright prospects. I am also of the opinion that the effect of the euro 2022 and WC 2023 in countries like England, Spain and Australia (huge increase in girls signing up for football) will show in 5-10 years. I think the level of those teams is going to be unreal.

Young women's football is good but they do need training with men teaching them how men play and skills to adapt that to playing as women especially with power contact and ball control with the men. like mixed matches could help for women.

It was my first time watching the young lionesses and I was very impressed with their flawless clean sheet performance😊😊👏👏👏!! Getting on with it scoring great goals too! The senior lionesses will be very impressed😁😁!! i noticed a polish player shirt tugging + aggressive play!🧐😠shocking attitude setting a bad example!! + it was always going to be Spain!! the most dominant team in Europe!! like the senior lionesses the U17's can’t avoid Spain! @@neovarleydownes9109 Took me a few mins of research , so here are some stats . I looked through every team England had played since their loss to Spain last year. And cross checked the results of all of those teams since that time. All of them have lost at least 2 games except England and Spain. Spain are 7-0-0 ( 29-2 ) v Englands 11-0-0 ( 42-3 ). Still doesnt mean much , but its the two undefeated teams in Europe since Nov 23. Hopefully a close game :)

This should be hilarious. The womens game is funny enough.
