Great EARLY ball to Watkins and wow. So often on the break it takes forever to get the ball to the last third, this was decisive. Credit to Watkins, but also to Palmer, the player who delivered THAT PASS..

i’m not an England fan, but i just have to give them the credit they deserve, they played some amazing stuff today and was the better team over 90 + minutes, NEVER a pen but in general they deserved to win, Watkins and Palmer should be starters, Mainoo and Shaw show why they are 2 of England’s most important players as well

Gotta give credit to Southgate in this game. He saw that the previous formation got the best out of our players and continued with it. Plus the subs that he made, made total sense and got us the result. Is he a tactical genius? No. Does this mean he shouldn't be criticized for past performances or future results? No. But give credit where credit is due. Go England!

I can't see how people can say we scammed our way through this one. I know the penalty is a huge talking point. To me that would be a foul anywhere else so logically it should be a penalty when the challenge was done inside the box. We also battered them the first half, Foden nearly scored a mirror goal of Yamal's. Yes they snuffed us out second half, but didn't really create enough, and Watkins' goal was just a moment of class in a smash and grab manner. We absolutely played well enough to warrant this victory.
