Couldn’t agree more. They had a great run, just came up short....They will be a force in the World Cup, with a few tweaks. They need to play to win rather than playing not to lose. Full disclosure, I am an Ireland fan and no fan of England, I’m still pissed about the Rice and Grealish situation, one has to say that they had a good tournament but Italy looked the best team in the competition.

I’m saying this in the nicest possible way: you don’t watch football and don’t know what you’re talking about. EVERYONE removes their runners up medal. It has happened since the beginning of football. It’s happened in every single euros final, World Cup final, champions league final, they take the medals off. @@ChickityChicken Not really, but in this case it matters. Pickford make an impossible efort to save an impossible penalty from Manchini who never miss and get England the chance to stay on track. But you literally saw the fear and the inexpierience in Englands young shoters, they where just to scared and try to get over with. Very predicted and slack shots, make Italian goalkeeper looks very good.

Sorry, can’t fault Saka. Steps up when others wouldn’t and took a better penalty than the nonsense from Rashford and Sancho. Plus without him, England wouldn’t have made it to the final in the first place. Wish he’d seen some decent deliveries on the right in the second half and extra time, especially after Chiellini got carded for having to tug him down. He might have made the difference again. Can’t take anything away from Italy though, they settled in quick after that first England goal and stuck at it. Fair play to them.

Drop that "it's coming home" cocky title, no wonder everyone else in the world is cheering for your defeat 😂

Despite it being 1-1 Italy pretty much dominated the entire game, however there's lots of potential in the England team and I do believe with Southgate and the young players we will come back stronger hopefully. Good game, Italy for sure deserved this win, congratulations!

@@Scitch-et4vk Look at the stats, maybe not so much on the first half but second and beyond England played simply bad in comparison, especially with one of their good players out.

True true. Italy turned it around quick and stuck it out. Just wish Saka had been sent a few decent through balls on the right, and kept him there, during that second half and extra time. No way Chiellini was going to hold him up, certainly not after that yellow for tugging. Proud of Saka for stepping up for the penalty too. He hasn’t had enough credit. Wouldn’t have made it to the final without that deft cross forcing the Danish own goal.
