ENGLAND: Ancient tombs, cemetery of WARWICK (Warwickshire)

Warwick cemetery, Warwick, England - the historic Warwick cemetery in Warwickshire, England. Let's visit the historic city of Warwick in Warwickshire, England and let's walk around the Warwick cemetery. Situated on the Birmingham Road, Warwick, the Warwick cemetery covers approximately 28 acres and provides for the burial of people of all denominations. Two chapels are still standing but are no longer in use. The first burial at the Warwick cemetery took place on 25th May 1859.
Warwick is a town on the River Avon, in England’s West Midlands region. It’s known for the medieval Warwick Castle, founded by William the Conqueror. The Collegiate Church of St. Mary has a tower with city views and a Norman crypt. The timber-framed buildings of 14th-century Lord Leycester Hospital cluster by the city’s West Gate. The St. John’s House Museum is housed in a Jacobean mansion with gardens.
Warwick is a market town and county town of Warwickshire, England. It lies near the River Avon, 11 miles (18 km) south of Coventry and west of Leamington Spa and Whitnash. Its population was 31,345 in 2011. Signs of Neolithic activity precede unbroken habitation to the 6th century AD. It was a Saxon burh in the 9th century; Warwick Castle was built during the Norman conquest of England. Warwick School claims to be the country's oldest boys' school. The earldom of Warwick, created in 1088, controlled the town and built its walls, of which Eastgate and Westgate survive. The castle became a fortress, then a mansion. The Great Fire of Warwick in 1694 destroyed much of the town. Warwick missed industrialisation, but the population has grown almost sixfold since 1801.

My Dad died on Oct. 22, almost a month ago now. My Mom July 20 2009. Although the cemetary where they are buried is a little more than 100 miles away from where I live, I solemnly vow as long as I can take a step and draw a breath of air, my parents graves will never go unattended nor will I stop visiting. I know they are not there in spirit but it is here that I had to goodbye. It is a shame that this cemetary has been allowed to deteriorate so badly. The grounds and trees are spectacular and with regular maintenance it could be made into a place that respects the people whose bodies who are here, in their final place. Vic, your videos are really great and I love them all, some more than others, I guess the timing of this one hit a little close to home for me. It is, without a doubt, one of my favorites. Thanks for the chance to see places and things that a lot of us as your fanbase wouldn't get to see otherwise. Thanks again. Cheers my friend!

I find myself wandering little graveyards like this here. It is heartbreaking to find a beautiful, old, (and historically accurate record of residents) resting place ... And the condition some of these are in is tragic. Hauntingly beautiful, none the less. Thank you for sharing your time, and efforts.

I know I can look up but is the Castle in close proximity to this particular cemetery, or was this part of a churchyard & maybe Church is gone? I’ve been wanting to get over there for so long. Nice tour of it all too bad I don’t have a trust fund. Plus...stupid virus. And yeah I’m American I think are travel restrictions on us at the moment. And not that I blame em. Peace & be well. But it looks marvelous & mystical right now. ✌️😎⭐️🌞🌝

Obviously the people in this cemetary were living, breathing human beings that were loved. They had their entrances and their exits, like all of us will have. I grew up in England, although I have not lived there for many years. I always had a fascination with these deceased people, and wondered what their world was like. I hope that they found some joy in their brief time on this earth.

Cheryl, your parents just feel asleep, like so many ,they will be awaken again, and you will see them again. I LUV these old cemetaries, they tell of hardships and many struggles of people we never knew. Cheryl keep this in mind always....remember the story of The Widow's Son Of Naim..Once when Jesus was entering the city of Naim, accompanied by His deciples and a great multitude,He met a funeral procession in which a widow's son was carried out to be buried.Jesus, seeing the great sorrow of the mother, and the many friends that were with her ,came and said," Weep not".Then he approached the bier on which the dead man lay,and ,touching the body, said,"Arise;"and the young man rose up and began to speak.Jesus presented the son to the mother. When those who were present saw what was done, great fear came upon them, and they began to glorify GOD,because"a great prophet had arisen amongst them". This miracle is symbolic of the future resurrection ,when GOD will raise up all men from the grave .Even now it has its fulflment in the Sacrament of Penance, where Jesus Christ, through His priests, raises up the sinner from spiritual death of sin. Cheryl, your parents are not far from you my dear...so be comforted...
