That goal only showed very very bad defending...not real class on the striker. He was given the whole time...look at the moment Dier joins in then stops actually defending until he deflects it in...Under defenders like Terry or Ramos, such space would not be availed to a striker...No pressure on the ball absolutely!!! That was horrible defending but we can say the striker also used the space well...

@@felixdatche9278 To be honest there was a bit of bad play from the striker aswell Perisic behind him had so much space he should've either backheeled the ball to him when he first got the ball for him to shoot or laid it off to him after he turned his back to the defenders. You could see Perisic's anger when he didn't get the ball.

i was there for this game! the atmosphere was insane and the match was incredible. when three lions rang out through the stadium and people were chanting “it’s coming home” was brilliant. something i’ll never forget.

Can I just say I LOVE the way England is playing football at the moment right now? I hope they can keep up this sort of style for many years to come.

Best Croatia team in 20, not 25 years. Although the generation of Davor Suker, Boban, Prosinezki didn't make it to the final of France 98, the difference between them and Zidane's golden team was just a lucky shot. That team will forever be in my heart and memory, although they kicked out my national team (Romania)

Also, the way in which Kane scored. He slided in the same manner, but Lovren was beside him and he blocked the ball. This was an embarasiingly sloppy game on part of the Croats, it's not just about the English being good. We haven't seen an ounce of the effort that the Croats put just a couple of days before. The English were more motivated. And there you have it! :) I started saying that the two teams switched souls, hehehe!

@@stojankaciric7707 Modric is not exactly a fresh flower anymore he is 33 and a crazy game against spain not even 2 days ago takes a lot from him. And without Modric beeing able to run the game in the midfield we are not the same team. He was so stif,slow and tired and Delf Or whatever his name is was just overruning him al the game thats why we were the weak side in the midfield and midfield is the most important part of the football game. On the other hand we had a crazy lucky and not deserved lead 1:0 just 11 minutes to go and our coach did a mistake by not substituing another tall full back Mitrovic and backing up in 5-4-1 formation to save the lead because there was just 10 min to go . We would at least end up with 1:1 if not win it all and this would send England to league B .

It's a friendly I know and I tried hard not to push them aside but I just thought it was impossible for the US to win. England has such good players for every position and a quality bench to replace tired legs while the US have just Pulisic and Weah. England was so organized and was always a threat. Seeing us with a 62% possession against Croatia and controlling the midfield just made my day. I can't believe how far we came.

Of course this gets recommended to me after we beat Croatia 1-0 today at Wembley again in our Euro 2021 opening game

It would have been cleared by the time it rolled in off Kane, Lingard did the right thing by running up and tapping it in. It's not about who scores in National Team Football, it's just THAT we score. Lingard was incredible that game, especially coming on as a sub. That tap in goal and clearing Croatia's header off the line... brilliant.

yes the ball was moving in the right direction but it was moving slowly. The croatian defender would have caught it if lingard wasn't there

Cradszz Mötley 100% agree with you. I was just saying that it was rolling in already. Lingard did the right thing to make sure the goal was scored though.

Common Sense the defender was going to get it. The ball slowed due to the slight touches by the keeper and defender so Lingard did the right thing in tapping it in
