এই মুহুর্তে সমস্ত সিনেমা হলে রমরম করে চলছে 'The Eken'. গোয়েন্দা চরিত্র একেন্দ্র সেনকে দর্শকের বেশ মনে ধরেছে। একেনের পাশাপাশি জনপ্রিয় হয়েছেন তাঁর দুই সহকারীও। দুজনের মধ্যে অন্যতম 'প্রমথ'র ভূমিকায় অভিনয় করছেন জনপ্রিয় RJ সোমক। সোমকের ছোট থেকেই ইচ্ছে ছিল অভিনেতা হবার। তাঁর স্বপ্ন বলা যেতে পারে সফল হল এতদিন পর।জনপ্রিয় রেডিও জকি সোমক ঘোষ জীবনের অনেকগুলো বছর নিজের Passion-কে খুঁজে না পেয়ে দিশাহীনভাবে দিন কাটিয়েছেন। হতাশাগ্রস্ত হয়েও সোমক তারপর কিভাবে খুঁজে পেলেন নিজের জীবনের Dreams? সেই Inspiration-এর গল্পই এবার Josh Talks Bangla-এর মঞ্চে।
বাড়ির চাপে Engineering পড়া থেকে শুরু করে MBA এবং শেষমেশ Corporate চাকরির জীবন - popular Radio Jockey Somak (সোমক ঘোষ)-এর জীবন চলছিল আর পাঁচটা শহুরে ছেলের মতই, নিজের স্বপ্ন, Passion আর ভালোলাগার কাজের একেবারে উল্টোদিকে। Office-এ সবার সামনে হাসির পাত্র হয়ে যাওয়ার পর Corporate Pressure-এ হাঁফিয়ে উঠে চাকরিটা ছেড়ে দেন সোমক। এরপর শুরু হয় এক অনিশ্চয়তার পথে life journey
তবে প্রচন্ড Struggle আসলেও ছোটবেলার অভিনয়, নাটক, আবৃত্তির Passion-টুকু তিনি কখনওই ছেড়ে দেননি। শেষ পর্যন্ত সেই Passion-এ ভর করেই আজ তিনি শহর কলকাতার অন্যতম জনপ্রিয় RJ Somak। Radio Mirchi-র OMG (O Ma Go) অনুষ্ঠানে সরলাদেবীর চরিত্রে তাঁর অভিনয় দেখেননি এমন কলকাতাবাসী কমই আছেন।

From pursuing Engineering due to family pressure, having a MBA degree and ending up with a corporate job in hand - RJ Somak’s life was no different than an average metropolitan guy of country who leave their dream, passion and love. But after ending up being a joke at the office, Somak resigned from his job due to inhuman corporate pressure. And then his life journey towards an uncertainty started. But amid all the struggles, Somak didn’t let go off his passion towards acting, theatre and recitation. At the end, that very passion has made him one of the most popular RJs of the city today. Almost all the Kolkata-people have seen his performance as Sarala Devi in Radio Mirchi’s popular programme OMG (O Ma Go).

তোমার কথাগুলো আমাকে এতোটাই আশা দেয়, যে যখনই নিজের জীবনটাকে একটা পাল ছেঁড়া নৌকার মতো লাগে তখনই video টা খুলে বসে যাই। এখানে বলে রাখি কলেজ নয়, আমি এখনো স্কুল ছাত্রী, মাধ্যমিকও হয়নি। কিন্তু কোথাও গিয়ে তোমার কথাগুলো যেন আমার ভবিষ্যতটাকে নির্দেশ করে বলে মনে হয়। জানি না সোমক দা massage টা পড়ছে কিনা, তবুও বলি-- "কথাদের সাথে কথাদের মাঝে, কলমের ভিড়ে, কথকের ঠেলায় হারিয়ে গেলেও কথাটাই জীবন হয়ে থাকবে। কথা বলতে ভালবাসা, কথা বলাতে ভালবাসা কিছু কথাদের মধ্যে আমিও নিজেকে খুঁজে পেতে চাই।" তাই মন স্থির করতে মাঝে মধ্যেই তোমার স্মরণাপন্ন হই । "হরেক মানুষ, হরেক চিন্তা, নিজের ভাবনা ফাঁপা। পাশেরবাড়ির লোকের কথায় হারিয়ে যাচ্ছে ভাষা। স্বপ্ন হাজার ডানা মেলে উড়তে চাইলে তাই পায়ের শেকল তুচ্ছ করে উড়তে হবে ভাই।" ----🖊দেবদ্যুতি 🙏🙏

Last 1.5 years holo আমি কোন ভালো job না পাওয়ায় maj খানে খুবই dipression a চলে গিয়েছিলাম । তোমার কথা শুনে খুব ভালো লাগল । মন ছুঁয়ে গেল। শুধু 1টা জিনিস খুব ভালো ভাবে realise করেছি যে ai জগতে kau কারোর না। নিজেকেই এগিয়ে যেতে হবে লড়াই করে।সবাই বার বার আঘাত করবে নানা ভাবে, কিন্তু হাল ছেড়ে দিলে হবে না। কারন ভগোবান সব সময় আমাদের কাছে আছে। eakdin সব ঠিক হবেই। সাফল্য ধরা দেবেই। NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE

Very few people like you are too lucky to atleast understand what they are made for..or what their special abilities are.But whatever it is..in this generation of doctors and engineers...people like you are much needed.Loads of love and respect for you RJ Somak! I remember appearing for an audition at Radio Mirchi Kolkata (Camac Street) in early 2012.... The requirement was a bilingual RJ , decent in English and Bangla for a show on 'Kolkata'... As Somak mentioned about the silence post the audion, I too travelled to Delhi for a job as I hadn't heard back ... Indrani di called me the day I landed in Gurgaon and said if I could come down to their Delhi office for a few more interview rounds. I didn't, as I was in a dilemma if I should leave a confirmed job (which was a struggle eventually) for something that wasn't guaranteed. I don't know if life would've been better if I did go to the Mirchi office that day, but life would definitely had been DIFFERENT ! Kudos Somak, what you've done out of your life is commendable... THE O MAA GO series is so relevant for all bengali sons and their mothers... XOXO

@@satadrubanerjee4862 আর যেসব ডাক্তাররা রুগীর পেটে গজ-তুলো ভরেই সেলাই করে দিচ্ছে, সে'বেলা?!! একটা যোগ্য ইঞ্জিনিয়ার কখনোই চাইবে না, তার প্রজেক্ট ফেল মারুক। কিন্তু তাকে ওই প্রজেক্টের সঙ্গে সঙ্গে ঠিকাদার, বস, সময়বিশেষে মন্ত্রী এসব অব্দি সামলাতে হয়!
