First time I've seen the channel pop up but this one earned Sub #522 from me.
Everyone's talking about the footage, but they don't know how lucky you are to have that training pilot, who probably wishes to remain nameless! But that first comment, "What ya gonna do with that?" Should be trademarked! I've heard that many times from him. haha! It's odd how unpowered flight, in a controlled environment, is so much fun. But that also comes back to the guy in the left seat!

Can't believe you could do that without having a heart attack, I almost had one sitting on my couch watching the tail boom coming sooo close while simulation auto rotation. Good job.
That was really interesting. And that banked turn in the autorotation was wild. . 🤙
Last auto was the best, perfect level attitude on touch-down. On the others you landed on the heels of the skids.

Those were some nice aggressive looking flares. The lack of wind wasn't doing you any favours. Nice work! I was ski touring up in Boom Lake 2 weeks ago (Dec 2nd I think) and saw an orange AStar fly over. I wonder if that was you?

Yep the low winds definitely make the flare a bit more aggressive. That would have been me, I did that flight across in the 2nd! Small world, too funny!

We call it McLaren butterscotch around here! No, the autos we're done at the airport around 1,400'. Just signing off from 10 grand.
Why can’t it be put indoors?
Damn, that auto at 8:35 is crazy! Can see your headset cables float for a second in zero G. Those steep banks with the engine out seem pretty wild to a fixed wing guy like me. Any reason why you didn't continue to your 1 o'clock and land with just the minor heading change? Seemed like nil wind also?

More blades, less autorotation performance. Less blade inertia

8 years now. The AStar is definitely a phenomenal machine to fly. The 206 has a pretty strong grip on my heart though!
