You should attend a concert by Enge’s former friend Tom Jones, 82 . Enge tries, but he has lost all the octaves, Tom in contrast has his powerful baritone. We are lucky to still have them , the late Elvis at 88, would have been a glorious silver fox.

Wow! Engelbert you Rock! What a fantastic Show👏🌟🌟💕

A superb and unique talent in his hey day who, with the passing of multiple decades with voice control clearly not quite as great as it was, he is still able to entertain with loads of residual talent and charisma. He is an entertainer to be cherished, a superstar and survivor of the sorely missed great era of entertainment.

The lady on the keyboard gives some lovely backing vocals which just sound really great , Englebert has still got a fairly strong voice which still sounds very good. It's really good to see him doing these concerts.

Music heals that is why mr H got this far. At his age , he can still reach high notes. How amazing!

Engelbert is my idol since years. He is one of the best singers of romantic music of all time and even today it's great pleasure to listen to him sing to live and how despite his age he maintains his glamour and a good flow of his special voice.

I saw him live in 1986, great performer. He and Elvis were good friends.

@@thomasandersen2938 Oh you were there and know all about his buddies of that era. Nope, you sir are wrong. I was there in those days. Enge and he were friends in the business. No he wasn’t part of Mafia of Memphis. He didn’t partake of the drug culture. Enge had his family with him and only performed 3 months at time as he wasn’t citizen so he had to travel/ perform out of Country for three months before coming back to The Strip. So ditch the mess u read on Google.

Sounds like a larger band because all the background music (strings, horns, backing vocals) are all pre-recorded. Never thought Engelbert would get rid of half his band and try to fool everyone with pre- recorded backgrounds. We pay real money, we should get real live music.

@@StephenPozzuoli I understand your feelings, everything is so expensive now days. I thought parts of the orchestration were pre-recorded. However, I don't harbor any ill will toward Engelbert for slimming down to a precious few live band members in his 86th year as a phenomenal entertainer. He has given so much to so many around the world and I, as an 81 year old widow am grateful for the joy and beauty he brings into my life. Traveling across the world with a large band is costly and I believe this amazing man of music has earned the right to simplify and carry on as his legions of fans really want that as much as he does. His joy in performing is always paramount and is reflected in the love expressed by those who are fortunate to bask in the reflected glow from the stage. As an aside, My daughter, Leslie Craig, is a professional singer in St. Louis, earning her living in this business for 37 years. She sometimes supplements recorded backing with a guitarist and keyboards,, similar to what Engelbert is doing now. Different situations demand different solutions. Her fans don't seem to mind and are always appreciative of the live music. I'm sure you are a devoted Engelbert Humperdinck fan. Otherwise, you wouldn't be on this site. I hope all his fans will continue to enjoy Engelbert's music as long as we have him. Thanks for listening to me and to EH's music. 🥰 Patricia White

@@StephenPozzuoli All musicians using taped music in Veges… sign of times… young musicians can’t play in complete symphony orchestras. His voice is best with complete symphonic orchestras. Last times I saw him in Netherlands…. about 12 or 13 yrs ago. Massive venue with such a orchestra. So don’t bitch. I think z Sinatra one of last that have complete orchestra. He had voice that had to have it as he did interpret type singing.

I have seen him six times up north and he's still after all of these years, Engelbert still looks marvelous not just his looks his voice is just as beautiful as it was when he first started out to the most beautiful smile I've ever seen , he lights up the stage with his performance his charm, personality, and that great sense of humor.
