Engaging in Spiritual Warfare & Exposing the Artificial-Q1 Recap

We're twelve podcasts into the year. How many of those conversations are still top of mind? Probably not many-and that's not your fault. This world constantly overloads us with never-ending information and content that causes us to forget what matters most. This two-part series counters that, with John and Allen offering a highlight reel of the main moments from the first quarter. Part 1 focuses on tools for spiritual warfare and ways to defy the artificial.

This is why I started prayer journaling as I am so quick to forget all of God's goodness

In gratitude, I was in a men's "Wild at Heart" study in 2010 that God used to build the foundation on which I stand today through John's "Daily", or as I like to refer to it "Spiritual Warfare", prayer. AS A CHRISTIAN I WAS LOST, and had NO sense of my identity in Christ - blessings to you ALL and THANK YOU!

It’s a constant joke between my wife and I that I have a terrible memory. I forget everything and the wife remembers everything..lol. In all seriousness, given the constant flow of information vying for our attention, it becomes challenging to really absorb and retain the pearls. It’s a learned discipline for sure.

All of this is spot on and timely. I just finished a Basic in MN and it truly opened the doors to freedom for me. I've been at the open doors before. Peeked in and said "oh, that's nice. I'd like to have that", but the enemy was sly and reminded me of how painful past trips across the threshold have been. Confronting my sin, my double mindedness, my trauma, my failures... aurgh... run away! But this time, I walked through. Took an active stance against the enemy, looked right past him and said "Father me God". And the tears came, and my body shook, and I did look at my fatherlessness, but my failthful God took my hand and I took the first step toward freedom. I love my God. and I love my brothers in christ from the Basic. - David

This past quarter from your podcasts was PACKED with very helpful discussions and content. Having a brief recap in the context of the bigger narrative was helpful to keep it all in the forefront of the daily battle. I really value the daily household prayer and so much of the content this quarter just backed up why the daily prayer is so important. Thank you W@H team!

Thanks. Great reminder. I’ve been thinking about this very thing for a while now. Yet get distracted often. This was a great reminder to deliberate about being in the now with the Spirit. Thanks again!

Two things .. Graham Cook said many years ago that all warfare is the battle for intimacy .. this takes it to new levels. The second is .. i forgot 😆 .. just joking. The second is that there is a version of the bible that says Jesus is the way .. REALITY .. and life. That struck me in a profound way when I read it and I come to Him as Reality when I need reality and truth. Jesus is everything.

I find so much that is beneficial regarding what you say about spiritual warfare and I can hardly wait to get started as I see everything you are talking about. Regarding the angels on our side, however, while I agree we should be more active and less casual, do you have any scripture saying we can ask the angels. I feel comfortable asking God to send angels and believing His promises, but is there anything saying we can address angels directly?

Thanks for your question! John distinguishes the act of "calling on" or "asking angels for help" from the act of praying to angels. One of the scriptures he's referenced quite a bit recently (including an entire podcast a few weeks ago) is Psalm 91. Verses 11 and 12 in particular reflect the intent of what he's saying.

For me. Jesus is our mediator and I call on Him. He is the One who will direct his angels to do what He wants them to do.

Agreed. It’s come full circle. The artificial originated in the garden and has manifested in these last days as AI.

Matthew 25.. 10 virgins all wanting to be present and included.. all asleep at a level of disengagement... The factor for waking and responding to the call is the Oil! Preparation is the vitality. And though it is a mystery and to our minds, tragic and grief worthy, the Oil is not ours to give out. That is the Knowing, the sufficiency of Christ Himself, in the individual. Family, believe the Word. All of it testifies to the created, redeemed, indwelled Life and soon, glorified, as one with Jesus Christ, Messiah, Savior, ascended and returning King!

A concern I have about asking God’s angels for help is why not just ask him? Is it not a form of idolatry to pray to another being? Love you guys. You have taught me so much about Jesus. How to hear and see him. How to experience him daily. Oh, and the pause app is a game changer. Thank you for all you do.

Yes amen! And, Father = Spirit John 14:6 Right hand = authority/power. Acts 7:55 - Stephen saw Yeshua standing in the power/authority of the Spirit. He saw all the fullness of God in that visible resurrected body, and called Him by name. What a joy to know what God has done for us!
