currently I couldn't afford the dingy for this but people could say I'm a Moran but i love boats and looking at them so I watch these videos and imagine for a few minutes its mine. feels good for brief time

Black is the most visible color at sea? Who told this guy that lie? Here's a clue, they don't make lifeboats in black do they.

Yes, you are right, but do not be so sure. Orange is a conventional safety color in land and at sea. But in very sunny condition, when the sea shines as silver, or when the sun is down on the horizon due the latitude or the hour, the most visible color is black. For example daytime signals (balls, cones) on the ship are in black color. Many expert captains told me that black or black/orange combination is the most visible color at sea. The most recent studies say that yellow-green fluorescent color is the best to recognise a boat or a human at sea, but only in the night. Thank you very much for this discussion.

Maurizio Bulleri I've read that auburn is also a good hull color for being visible, but can't confirm it.
