If only they accepted each others feelings and decided to love each other with no remorse. They couldve taken on the world together. So sad they waited 30 years and imagine the people who did this in real life. Living with that pain for that long

I didn’t feel any ounce of lust in the whole duration of this film, it made me fell love instead, specially right after the “cut” take on the bathroom scene, they still continued crying, the emotion they depicted is real indeed, and made believable for the viewers... great young actors of this generation... 😘

I wholeheartedly agree. No lust at all. Just pure heartfelt emotion coming through in every scene

It's so cool how the director made the actors live together and get close to each other before filming...I guess it's bc they understand each other so well irl that they're able to deliver such raw and real emotion during filming. Awesome work from the entire team, this movie is gonna stay in my mind for a while.

Yes! I watched an interview where the actor that plays Birdy was saying that in the scene where they were fighting in front of Jia Hans parents he had intended to just be mean and hateful, but seeing Edward (Chen) cry made him cry too. They're so precious.

The shower scene was really profoundly sad. It shows how Birdy really was confused about his own perception of himself, if it was what he really is or was he just in a blurry state of mind, and how Jia-ahn loved Birdy,more than mere desire but kinda wanted to show that by his physical affection(only in this intense scene)

*This contains spoilers if you haven't watched the movie yet* Do you guys remember what that girl (who Birdy set Jia-Han on a date with) said? She said the romantized version of "Good night" in Chinese is "Wanan." Wanan means "I love you, love you," she said. But hold on... At the end of the movie, when Birdy and Jia-Han meet up again after 30 years, they are about to go their separate ways. Jia-Han and Birdy are going to two different hotels but they keep saying, "Good night." Legit they said it about 5 times. Was that their way of saying that they still want to be together? And that they still want to love each other? I thought that was heart-breakingly cute...I cried even more

ok so if you payed attenstion after hes hung out with the girl he goes to a phone and calls someone. the next day you have birdy writing "good night my love" on the balloon and jiahan going up to him saying "so you did know what it meant" and then birdy answearing that he searched it up. so basicaly after jiahan was with the girl he called birdy to ask him what it meant but birdy didnt pick up so he left him a message instead. Thats why theyre both saying goodnight to eachother so many times while literally staring into each others soul. ohmygod i love the proddusers for adding this

lol, i had the same experience when watching the movie the first time, i keep on repeating some scenes in the begining just to recognize if it is birdy or Jia Han. I can't move on when i finished watching the movie so i gave it a second shot. Problem is gone but i can't still move on. Lol
