Thank goodness to find a reasonable person in the comment section. People keep defending his abusive actions towards her and condemning her for her reasonable reactions. I absolutely understand why she doesn't trust him when his reactions if she doesn't comply are always so aggressive and over the line. I understand he's upset, but there are MUCH better ways to express that instead of trying to force her to be physically intimate.

he´s really annoying, i dont like this kind of male lead but i know that this drama is just a demostration of how difficult it was to be a woman in that period of time, no matter if a man loves a woman, that man always will think that his woman is just a possesion. Sadly that was the rule and he´s not an exception.

I think the female lead must end alone and not stay with the male character (Hanchen). Because he doesn't treat her well and it is also a toxic relationship, that in the real life it could end in a bad ending. The female is in pain because he always treats her badly and she is devastating but she doesn't cry. She doesn't perform well this part 33:35. I think other actress could do it well.

Xiaoman doesn't act like a married woman. She doesn't take care of her man instead she's always by her male friend's side. Even when she's leaving him, she should show that she cares for him. I don't really like her character much.

Right now the only family he has is Xiaoman and his close friends so if it was like that in the past a lot of people died and suffered because whom ever there emperor was was not right in the mind. That’s why all of those rules and laws have been done away with. Someone had to take out the emperor I order for change to come. Keep watching because they finally will be together no matter what
